SOURCE: shark steam mop

I had the same prob and found this site off google looking for the solution.

I went back to my shark and took out all the screws, some don't feel like they were coming out but it came apart. Take a pair of pliers and release the spring clip holding the hose to the heat nozzle. Then pull off the hose. Then take a paper clip, unkink it so it's sort of straight with a curve to go into the hole . Shove it in and out to clean out the hole. I got my fingers blasted with residual steam so you should let it cool first. But I think the steam bursting out helped clean out the hole. Don't throw it away till after you try that..It worked great after that. All the best, Satch

I have a vax steam mop it was working perfectly

possibly not heating if you have water and no heat it could be a problem with the heating cycle that allows the steam to work .
You need a technician to have a closer look at it. It could be something small like a wire off or it could be major like an element problem. Take it in & ask for a quote on getting your machine working again.

My VAX steam mop cleaner i bought in July is dripping water from the reservoir, what do i do, i have proof of purchase?

have u used any chemicals that not recommended in the user guide?
check for seals. some chemicals could damage water seals. those are not covered under warranty. but better to talk to warranty provider.

Why is vax s7-a+steam mop steamer dripping water and cuts on and off

I managed to fix mine after a little effort. It was blocked well up in the nozzle into a small pinhole where the steam comes out of the 'small kettle' in the steam mop.
To fix:
  • take the blue side bit off by unscrewing the two small screws
  • Undo the screws inside (there are about 11)
  • Once these were undone there was two screws holding the nozzle cover.
  • After unscrewing these pull the nozzle cover of and scrape limescale from inside the small hole where the steam comes out
  • Put it all back together and it should work much better
You should only really do this if you are competent as there are lots of wires etc. and if your steam mop is not covered under warranty as messing around with it will void this.

Hope this helps :)
