it sounds like the USB connector on the face place of the radio has a cracked solder joint. i suggest taking it to a person that know how to solder small objects. your Kenwood has a one year manufacturer warranty it could be some thing to check in to.

My ksc-sw800 kenwood subwoofer doesnt have audio output,i conected the power,+ to posite of battery and GND to negative of battery,..conected audio to input while my i pod is palying audio but no sound...

The P.Con is the terminal that is connected to the (blue with white stripe) cable on the back of your head unit. If there is no (blue with white stripe) cable then there will be a (solid blue colored cable). This connection is used to turn the amplifier on and off when you turn your head unit on or off. The power cable from the battery is to provide power and not to turn it on or off. Think of the P.Con as the ON / OFF of your amplifier. If you are unsure of how everything else should be connected, then send me a list of what you have (models please) and i will help you out. Hope this will help.

KDC-4051UG Only comes "ON" with

Your head unit is now connected correctly. That is how it is intended to be installed. Unless it doesn't store the radio stations. In that case the power cables of the head unit (RED&YELLOW) are incorrectly connected, but not a big problem. hope that helps dreamsystems

Woofer will not turn on. fuse was bad but i replaced it and still no power.

Had the same problem, no power from the sub, no light. Opened the box, fuse was bad, replaced the fuse...pop...blew again. Found out that on the bigger middle board next to the power plug there are two capacitors on either side, the inner one burned and crumbled to pieces. I called Kenwood, they said that I would have to bring it to a Electronic Service Specialist that they will give you a number to in your area...or...Ship it yourself to their East Coast Center in Virginia. I already asked if Kenwood is going to send an RMA or Shipping Label and they will not. You will be responsible for the shipping there, but they will pay for the shipping back. Kenwood's East Coast Center in Virginia's number: 757-340-1702 - Good luck

Please update your post with any Model Numbers that you can retrieve, especially the subwoofer. Off hand, and with the limited amount of information that you have provided, I would GUESS that your subwoofer is simply overheating, and is being shutdown internally, hence protecting the fuse because no short is detected. If you haven't moved and or vaccuumed/cleaned around or near your system regularly, dust, pollution, pollen...you name it, builds up and can easily prevent electronics from breeathing/venting properly.

Power wire

You should run a new power wire to the battery or fuse box from the Sub. For safety there should be a fuse on the cable at the battery or fusebox end.
