What does starting in safe mode acconplish?

Booting in safe mode simply launches the operating system with minimal services enabled, usually no network availability, and a limited ability of usage, safe mode is used when diagnosing possible threats or for emergncy data access. In the event that the computer has stopped you from gaining access to it. A computer should never forcefully start in safe mode, it is an option usually selected on a black and white screen, start normally or start in safe mode, or start in safe mode with network. Hope this explains is a little better

How to open a forget password and username on password

Step 1: Enter Safe Mode

a) Start or re-start your computer.

b) Before the Windows 7 loading screen appears, Press 'F8? to enter Advanced Boot Options.

c) Use arrows to choose 'Safe Mode' when you can see the Advanced Boot Options screen.

d) Press 'Enter' and wait for Windows 7 files to load.

e) Log on with an administrator account when you can see the log on screen

Note: Well, when you are presented with the Advanced Boot Options screen, there are 3 types of Safe Mode. They are the Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and the 3 options are all available for you. Here above we take Safe Mode as an example, but if you choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you'll need to input related to command prompt to reset the password.

Step 2: Reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7

Now you could diagnose and solve some serious computer problems in the safe mode and reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7 as follows:

1. Click 'Start' button, input 'lusrmgr.msc' into the Search box and press 'Enter'.

2. In the 'Local Users and Groups screen', click 'Users'.

3. Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click 'Set Password'.

4. Type and confirm the new password, click 'OK'. (You can go to 'Local Users and Groups' screen by right-clicking 'Computer' to select 'Manage' on desktop.)

Step 3: Log on your password protected PC again with the new password since you have successfully performed Windows password reset for Windows 7.

Go to the safe mode option then once there go to start-run-then type in MSCONFIG then go to system recovery then go to recovery for an earlier time. This will reset your Windows to an earlier time you may be able to salvage it without having to re-install the operating system. F8 also will bring you to "Safe Mode" if not do it through the Dos command screen. If this does not work then you might consider re-installing Windows again. John

Windows cannot find regsvr.exe at start up

Probably the easiest way to resolve this issue is by following the steps outlined below.

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Turn the computer on and immediately press F8 repeatedly until you get the "Advanced Boot Options" menu.
3. use the down arrow to select "Safe Mode" and press enter.
4. Window is should start with a "Help" window.
5. In the help window there is an underlined "What is System Restore?"
Click on that and "Click to open System Restore"
6. click on that and a new window comes up recommending restoring to a previous state.
7. Click ok and the operating system should restore your computer successfully and reboot into normal mode.

There is a some how problems with the system configuration files. So now you are required to start you pc with safe mode option then you have to restore your computer to a date on which it was booting up normally. Just follow these steps

click on startup menu----program---accessories----system tools----system restore

in the restore option select the date of on which your system was working normally, from a calendar shown in the left side. then click on next--- next. your system will get reboot. After successful restore hope your computer will boot normally.
