Deep vibrating/friction noise when platinum plus is used each rep from inside the machine..
After many years, I'm now getting a loud vibrating or friction noise each time the Platinum Plus is used, each rep. It's both ways. Sometimes if I increase the weight alot, it might go away, but then it'll sort of sneak back.
It's coming from inside the main part of the machine -- inside the grey plastic/metal cover where the pulleys and mechanics are. I have never taken that part off. Is there an easy way to take it off and just see what's going on? Anyone encountered the same problem and know a fix? It's pretty loud, and almost sounds like a person moving a table or heavy chair across a hard wood floor.
Also, I got the bonus weight that came with the machine. There were never any instructions on how to put it in the machine. If I can get this cover off, is it pretty simple to get it in?

Hello, I made this repair Oct 20, 2021. I have the exact same Blomberg DV17542 dryer. It was making a horrible vibration sound while empty and full. Not exactly the sound you had but a loud vibration noise. I just posted the video on youtube, search "Blomberg Dryer Vibration Blower). The top panel was vibrating loud but I knew there was something internally wrong with it.
I purchased a rear bearing($20 Canadian and 4 new frictional glides$7 each(where the drum rests on at the front of the dryer). I took the dryer apart, it was fairly straightforward, removed the drum, changed the rear bearing and replaced all 4 glides. I figured this would fix it....but no! Was disappointed hearing the noise again.
I figured it had to be the motor or the blower fan. I inspected the blower fan from the back without having to remove it and bingo! I could see lint or something else inside the blower wheel.
I used needle-nose pliers to reach in and pull out what was inside. I pulled out a fabric sheet covered in lint, and when I pulled that one out I could see another behind it. I pulled the second one out, vacuumed the fan, and made sure it spun freely and wasn't damaged.
Turned the dryer on and could hear a pin drop it was soo quiet. Problem solved. Any questions let me know, it could be the bearing, frictional glides, motor or blower wheel.
Sounds like a bearing seal is going. The seal has ruptured and grease of seeping out. The loud noise is the bearings rubbing against each other without adequate grease to reduce the friction. Failure will come soon if it is not fixed. The vibration is coming from the friction and possibly damaged ball bearings .
MSRP on that machine is $269.99. Smooth machines are probably going to start around $400. Do yourself a favor. Go to a local sewing machine dealer so you can try out the machine before you buy it. Also, take advantage of classes and knowledge of your dealer. You can spend $600 online and still get a loud, shakey machine. Or, go to a sewing machine dealer, try the machine and probably pay about $400. Check out the Husqvarna Viking Emerald 116, MSRP of $399.
The buzzing might be just a little bit of friction between the motor and its housing rubbing together, or it could be off-balanced and vibrating against the drive cage. It's more than likely nothing as long as the disk still reads, and as long as it does still read, there's no need to send it in for repairs, it's just a minor annoyance. However, if the disk does not read, and I made an inaccurate guess as to the problem, then I would send it into the manufacturer for repairs.
When you say loud, do you mean as in airflow noise, or vibration like noise? I take it this is a ducted system as well. Does it have quik cool option on ceiling assy.?
1. We were told by Keurig to place the unit on a MOUSE PAD (like for computer) for vibration and noise reduction. I haven't tried this yet! 2. Also, You need to or have someone to check inside the bottom of the Coffee Maker, sounds like the water tube may have come loose that lets water to the maker.
We just had the loud noise and big vibration problem.
When my husband took the bottom of maker off, he found the water tubing disconnected on the unit. Once he repaired this part and plugged it back up, it WORKED and was quieter and everything worked properly. I pray this helps!
