For protecting and finding back your lost phone, I would recommend an app called LEO Privacy. You can use your preserved number to send the commands to your lost phone and then find it.

You would have to call Samsung after reporting it stolen and have the imei number blocked

You are out of options as far as what you can do now that the phone is out of your possession.
That is why you set up a security code for the phone, so if it is stolen they have a hard time of using it.

You need to contact your cell phone carrier (verizon, cingular ect) and tell them your phone was stolen, and give them the IMEI number. They will send a signal over the network locking the phone.
Hope this helps, thank you for stopping by Fixya! Feel free to leave a positive rating if this solution answered your question.

Contact your network provider. Give them your IMEI number. They should be able to block your lost phone & make it unusable. The phone then becomes worthless.
