After installing my 44" snow blower on my JD 300X the lift pedal which has a lift assist spring will not reset to so that it works to lift and lower blower. Had installed blower the past two years without problems.

SOURCE: I have a Arien's ST724

Jorge, You most likley have a Techuseh 7 0r 8 hp engine. The big problem is that it does not have a stator under the flywheel to allow you to charge the battery or run lights. So the cheapest way for you to add electric start is to buy a 120 volt strter that will just bolt on. You will have to use an extension cord to use it though. You can get the starter from any small engine shop. You just need the engine numbers when you are asking for prices and availablity. The instructions are easy to follow.

Hope this helps

All the gears quit working why?

What type of machine; Hydro or Friction wheel?
If the cable or the spring to the friction wheel broke that would explain all gears not working. Lift machine up so it rests on the auger and take the bottom cover off. As busy as it will look under there, it will make sense how things work after looking at it.

Error 44

Precor Error 44, Un-commanded Lift Motion Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or bad connection in the lift position sensor(potentiometer).
2. Lift position sensor (potentiometer) is bad.
3. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action
  1. Bad or intermittent connection of the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is the most common cause of the error 44. Inspect all wiring and connections related to the lift position sensor (potentiometer). Repair or replace wiring connections as necessary.
  2. Monitor the lift position number displayed while operating the lift in diagnostics mode. If the reading makes large changes or is erratic, the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is likely bad. Replace the lift position sensor (potentiometer) or lift motor if the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is internal to the lift motor.
  3. If the lift moves without any command entered either manually or through a program, replace the lower PCA.

How do i lower 65 rear suspension on type 1 beetle

Not too hard, but time consuming. You need standard and socket wrenches,
a length of chain, and a floor jack.
It would be best if you referred to a Bentley manual for the actual
torsion bar procedure. The only tricky part of the process is getting
the spring plate off of its lower stop. It's under a lot of pressure, so
you chain the base of the floor jack to the chassis, then lift the spring
plate enough to pry it out with a big screwdriver. Installation is the
reverse of this.
The torsion bars are splined with 40 splines on one end and 44 on the
other. You can turn the spring plate in 50 minute (5/6 degree)
increments by turning the chassis end one spline in one direction and the
spring plate end one spline in the other direction. You adjust in the
angle you want.

How to connect hydrolic lift to the 214 tractor from a 37a snow blower

Part of the blower when new and first installed was a
1) pivot bar
2) lift link from blower to pivot
3) lift link from pivot to center of the tractor

the pivot was to be installed on a pre-made bracket on the frame just inside the front grille. A hole in the front part of the frame allowed the longer lift link to attach to that bar and go to the center of the tractor. Those two pieces remain on the tractor as permanent, and the lift link from the blower to the pivot bar to be removed or installed as you intend to use the blower. If you have purchased the blower used, the original tractor it was installed on still has those pieces on it. Your local Deere dealer can provide the pieces if needed.
