Not On List - Power Acoustik PADVD350

I've Recently installed this dvd player in my civic (picture on display) i got all the wires right the audio works 100% and the dvd screens all work. just need two things answered. 1 - My remote wont work every since i re-mounted it to a new place in the car, is it a wire i forgot or something? 2 - My Dvd screens seem to pick up like engine revs. its okay when on ignition but when the car is started it brings up small lines through the picture and when accelerating or reving it gets worse. Is there anyway of getting around this? i heard if you put a metal wire in the coil-overs or something it stops it?? Thank You

Re: Not On List - Power Acoustik PADVD350

To answer #2: go to radio shack and purchase an ignition power filter. This is wired to the power input side of the unit to eliminate ignition noise. ...but not sure about should not be a wire problem...try removing batteries of remote and re-inserting to "polish" the contacts.

90 Civic EX electrical problem. Yellow constant power wire only giving 3.5v?

The first thing I would do is check the yellow accesory wire for chafing or breaks. If it is touching ground somewhere it will loose voltage. Also check your cigarette lighter outlet. I have seen these cause shorts with radios since most (not all) Honda's have the stereo and lighter on the same circut. Also, a question for you, does anything else inside the car not work right or seem like it lacks power? Respond back quickly so I can help you more with this issue.

Will the pioneer deh p3100ub fit a 92 civic?

Yes, it should slip right in, but I recommend you buy the adapter for the wiring harness. Look here for details and instructions are pasted below:

1992-95 Models
See Figure 4
Removing the radio will require removal of the front part of the center console.
The original equipment radio has a coded theft protection circuit. Before beginning removal, be sure to know the code for re-installation. The code is erased whenever the battery is disconnected or the No. 32 (7.5A) fuse from the under hood fuse/relay box is removed. When power is re-connected, the word "CODE" will be displayed and will require entry of the 5-digit code for that particular unit.

WARNING All SRS wire harnesses are covered with a yellow insulation. Read the SRS precautions found in this section and install the short connectors as described.
  1. Disable the SRS system as described in this section.
  2. Remove the center instrument panel by removing the four philips screws on the top and sides.
  3. Disconnect the 4-pin connector from the cigarette lighter.
  4. Remove the two screws, then disconnect the 16-pin connector and the antenna lead.
  5. Carefully pull the radio/cassette player out.

To Install:
  1. Plug in the 16 pin connector and install the two retaining screws.
  2. Plug in the antenna lead, the cigarette lighter and carefully install the unit.
  3. Install the center instrument panel. Re-connect power to the car, and enter the 5-digit theft protection code for the radio/cassette player.
  4. Enable the SRS system.

How can i make my cd770 unit display time consistently? (bought car at auction, so no remote, no manual!!)

Not sure from description if you've got it wired right, and I am assuming you have most of it working but can't get the time to stay in memory. Are you sure you have the memory power wire going to a constant power source? 1 power wire ( power with key on or in accessories mode) will run player and the other which needs constant power would be for memory and time. Almost sounds like that is missing. Some units will not run at all without both, where others will work, but not store anything such as time, and needs to be reset every time it's turned back on, if that memory wire isn't hooked up.

Wireing a Pyle CD player to a honda civic 94

Please reply with a model # and I can help you out.
Usually pink is reserved for Parking Brake Bypass wire.
Is this a DVD player? or Standalone CD?
Solid Blue is amplifier turn-on wire.
(sometimes power antenna wire on cheaper 1-wire brands)
But again, reply with the radio model # and I can help further.
