I start up my 360 and it takes me to the dashboard. I already have a disk in there (Halo 3, Gears of War 2, or Call of Duty World at War) and it tells me to open the tray and put in a disk when there is already one in. I continue to open and close the tray with the game in but it continues to tell me to put on in. My disks are in good condition and my 360 is laying down so is there something I can do to fix it. Thanks.

Sounds like you all have problems with your lasers.

If your 360 is still under warrenty contact microsoft http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/support/

If they are not you could try repairing it yourself, it's really easy.

http://www.cd24-7.co.uk sell DIY kits & guides.

Hope this helps.

My x box is having trouble saving it says dirty disc everytime i try to save what could be going wrong

The first step is to, well, take out the disc and try to clean it because unfortunately it is having a hard time reading the disc. There isn't much you can do while the game is on, so you may have to give up on the progress you made on the game. Try to clean the disc, then try to blow out any dust inside the xbox, after you turn it off of course. Good luck!

When turning on my xbox 360, it will not load any games automatically. it says open tray, i open and close tray several times for it to finally load the game so I can play. Also at times when gam does...

This is a problem occurring in all the xbox 360 consoles....... this is mainly because of the poor quality of the disc,.....as a result it leads to the damage of ur xbox lens..............use good original discs........the heating effect is due to the long usage of pirated discs ...
check your lens if its working good then better download this Repair Guide for further information .........

My xbox keeps saying open tray I brought it to a guy twice and no fix everytime I put a game or movie in it it reads and says open tray

Reasons

1, the disc may be dirty
2. the mian reason for this your xbox drive cannot read the disc , because the power of the lens is gone(not completely) ,

solution:

1. keep your disc inside the drive and switch off the console, again swith on try this 2 to 3 time
2. keep the console in vertical position or little slanding position(180 dg) make sure it does not fall

3. its better to buy hatddisc and load the game inside it , so that u lens life increased

4. change the entire drive

Xbox 360 won't load disc

It may be the disc..I used to have this same problem but it was because of the disc....sometimes it is the scanner inside the xbox but since all other games work it may be just your game disc

Message saying put disc into xbox 360

1. Turn off your XBox and unplug all cables from the console and the wall, including a wireless adaptor if you have one.

2. Clean off your game discs using a non-scratch cloth.

3. If your game discs are already scratched, you can most likely take them to a video game store, such as EB Games, and get it cleaned for a small fee.

4. Plug your cables back in, except for the wireless adaptor or network cable (ie. don't connect to the internet).

5. Start up one of your games and see if it loads.

6. If it loads, turn off your XBox, and connect to the internet.

7. If it still does not load, it may be a disc drive problem in which case, contact Microsoft XBox 360 support at: www.xbox.com

Xbox won't read disks!!!!

If your xbox wont read the disc, it just says open tray, there is a very simple solution i discovered. You dont need to do anything complicated or fancy, simply make sure everytime you turn your xbox off the disc is out. Turn your xbox on without a disc in, let it get to your profile screen, then put the disc in. Works every time.
