SOURCE: maytag stove MGS5770ADB - Burners will not light - ignators

The spark module should be behind the rear panel of the range, or behind the bottom drawer, mounted on the interior back wall. If you go to searspartsdirect.com, the part is listed as item number 22 under the "Gas Controls" heading. The part number is 74004283. Just type in your model number and follow the links on the next page. There are helpful drawings to assist you. If in doubt, trace the wires from the the surface igniters and they all will lead back to the spark module. I hope this information helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: How can a Jenn-Air down draft stove be vented out the roof ?

Yes , its much more labor intense but it can be done by venting it up through the wall then through the attic over to the side vents. Make sure to get flexable duct to pull up through the wall.

Suddenly my Jenn air gas cooktop ignitors (all of them) do not click and spark, the model is CVGX2423B. I suspect it might be spark module fails, is that right?

It sounds like you need a new spark module which controls all of the burners. It is part number W10475147. It costs around $115.00!

You have a defective spark module. This is a device which breaks down the 120 incoming volts to a 12 volt spark to ignite the burners. Replace module and problem should be solved.

MY STOVE IS CLICKING EVERY SECOND. IT JUST STARTED DOING IT. IT IS A GAS STOVETOP AND ELECTRIC OVEN. I TURNED OFF THE BREAKER AND THE CLICKING STOPPED. I PUT IT BACK ON AND IT RETURNED. THANKS

Under each gas control is a switch that will turn on the spark module when rotated to the light position. One or more of these switches has failed. on some models these switches are individually replaceable, others, the switch is an assembly of all four.

You'll need to replace the Spark module in the back of the stove. Remove the back panel, and there is a blue Spark module. You can find them on-line for about $65. There are only a few wires to un-plug, it only took me about 15 mintues to replace.
