How do I fix the copier from printing all black pages?

Hello, My friend passed away last year and her husband gave me her home based business copier for my business. It's a Sharp SF7320. When I print the paper comes out almost completely black.

Black is not printing

Try this to unclog printhead.
take out cartridge, locate the hole where ink goes trough, put a can of compressed air and blow it.
put some paper under the printhead to catch ink.

My husband wants to print something tonight! I refilled the black cartridge on his Kodak ESP 3250, but the printer still thinks it is empty. He does send away for his ink, but is frustrated because he...

DONT REFILL CARTRIDGES!!!

Most new cartridges are fitted with page count chips.

The chips blow after a certain amount of pages.

So just filling the cartridge with ink wont help

Blank print but eats ink levels

I would imagine that you are printing in black more than you realize. The color inks tend to last longer because they are not normally used as much. Also when you print in color you are always using the black ink to make the correct colors. So every print that you have, whether it be black only or color only, the printer is using the black ink to make the colors. I work in a copier business and printer business and this is a highly asked question. Hope this was of some help.

Hp 1200 business inkjet help

I have a solution that is very similar to that printed above.
I have tested it on five installations on the computers on my home network and an HP Business Inkjet 1100, and the PCs running Win XP SP3.
Step 1) If you are setting up the printer from the HP CD, decline the question where it asks if you want to print a test page, (this will avaoid the first print job before re-setting the dates).
Step 2) Reset your clock back to a year prior to the year when your cartidge expired.
Step 3) Print a test page, or two. Or a few pages from any application.
Step 4) Reset your clock back to the current year.
The printer now prints fine. Since I performed the sequence above I have been printing with the "expired" cartridges for a few weeks. I have printed on about 15 occasions over the past few weeks, amounting to about 50 pages. No problems so far. I don't know how long this solution lasts or whether I will have to go through it again.
I have gone through a few different "solutions", including a Registry hack that didn't work, but this simple solution above has worked every time on five different installations.
I did not need to turn the printer on/off, and did not need to re-boot the computers.
However, if I sent a print job to the printer before performing the sequence described above, and the printer gave an "expired cartridges" error, then I would need to turn the printer on/off to clear the error, and flush the print queue.

Is it time to Replace my S200Print Head?

YES, IT IS EASY TO REPLACE THE CARTRIDGE, JUST PRESS DOWN A LEVER FOUND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PRINT HEAD AND EVERYTHING LOOSENS UP... YOU COULD ALSO CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE BY REPLACING IT WITH A BC-20 CARTRIDGE... IT'S A PURE BLACK CARTRIDGE.
