SOURCE: Water leaking from bottom of door during wash cycle

I had a similar problem.  It turned out to be the overflow "sock".  It's a long plastic bag that hangs from the side of the tub.  You have to get the top open, and it will be on the left side.  Where it attaches to the tub, the plastic attachment has a rubber washer that gets flattened out after time allowing the attachment to get loose and leak.  Since I couldn't find the washer to replace it, I cut a piece of gasket material like you get from an auto parts place and placed it behind the foam washer.  This made the connection tight, and the leak stopped, thank God.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Oasis, fabric softer thing exploded...

Okay...the cone actually goes inside the the two other pieces you mention. The cone is to be inserted upside-down. That is, the opening of the cone should be facing UP. The way this fabric softener dispenser is supposed to work is, you place fabric softener thorugh the opening of the dispenser. The cone actually holds it like a cup. When the washer goes through the initial spin cycle before the rinse cycle begins, the centrifugal force of the washer spinning forces the fabric softener out of the cone and into the wash tub.

The dispenser assembly should just snap right on top of the agitator. If the dispenser does not stay on securely any longer, you may have to replace it with a new one. You can find replacements at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in the same model number you provided and look for item number 1 under the "Motor, Basket and Tub Parts" heading.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you still have questions, please let me know.

PS It is also a good idea to periodically remove the dispenser and soak it in some hot water to get rid of accumulations of hardened softner. They will clog from time to time.

removed and disassembled inlet water valve - minature basket filter was clogged with white particulate which felt gritty.  cleaned and reassembled and reinstalled.  Works fine now.  Idiot repairman never mentioned a filter but wanted to replace entire valve at cost of 140 dollars including service call.   sears sux bigtime. And, from my experience with Fixya, so does your service since I never heard a thing since July EXCEPT for an offer to upgrade.  Thanks for nothing.

Where is the blend door actuator and how to replace it on 2004 honda odyssey

The air mix control motor is accessible from the front passenger-side floor board area. From that vantage point, look toward the heater and under. The air mix control motor is a black plastic housing with a wire connector and a rod that connects to a white plastic air mix control linkage. Disconnect the wire connector, remove the rod, and remove the screws that hold the unit into the bottom of the heater. You will need a stubby Phillips head screwdriver or a Phillips bit on a small ratchet as the clearance between the unit and the floor is not enough for a standard screw driver. There is also a small piece of dash colored plastic trim that can be removed for easier access.

I have an in-sink-erator model 1-81 which is leaking from the power cord attachment area and from a small rectangular metal piece mounted on the bottom of the unit. Replace or repair and is this possible?

The unit's seals have failed. The metal piece covers the box where the cord is wired to the motor, meaning the motor above it is already soaked with nasty water. It's definitely your best value replace the disposer. If you get another insinkerator or one made by insinkerator (whirlpool, kenmore, etc) you can hook up the new one in three easy steps.

Connection problem with rode ntg-2

If you look at the side of the microphone at that end there should be a small hole. Using long nose pliers grasp one of the pins and pull the jack all the way out to make sure that no wires have broken loose. Look on the side of this (plastic?) piece and you will notice a small screw with a slot in it. Using the pliers again, insert the piece back into the microphone gently and line the screw up with the hole. There should be only one way to do this as the piece has a protrusion that guides it down a slot in the microphone. Once the screw is lined up use a small enough flat blade screw driver to fit the hole. Screw the screw out, Yes Out. What this does is secure thje plug in place and provide a ground to the microphone. Please let me know how you make out.

My Kenmore Elite top load Washer tub won't turn. The water will pump out. There's a loud grinding sound when it should be agitating or spinning.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Kenmore top load, direct drive, neutral drain washers use a "Motor Coupler" which acts as a fail safe between the motor and transmission.

When the washer goes into drain / spin mode, the motor reverses itself and drives the pump.

After draining for a while the motor drives the transmission.

Since it won't agitate or spin, power isn't getting to the transmission.

This is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix for these washers.

Please see GURU JSROCK516 Description of how to remove cabinet and access the transmission. http://www.fixya.com/support/r699497-replacing_gearcase

Remove the cabinet.

Remove the pump held on by two clips.

Remove the two screws holding the motor clips on and remove the motor clips. You don't have to disconnect the motor electrical connections, just be sure that the power is disconnected from the washer.

Remove the motor and the two 1/2" bolts from the motor mounting plate.

Remove the plate.

You'll see plastic 3 pronged pieces on both the motor drive shaft and the transmission drive shaft.

Carefully remove these, I've found that using a small 6" pry bar works very well.

The rubber 6 hole piece between them is likely damaged or destroyed.

Install new plastic pieces on the motor and transmission. Use a 1/2" or larger socket to be sure to center and apply equal pressure around the plastic pieces.

Put the new rubber piece on the transmission piece.

Re-mount the motor mounting plate.

Carefully line up the plastic prongs on the motor piece with the three un-used holes in the rubber center piece and re mount the motor.

Clip the motor back on remembering to re-install the two screws in the motor clips.

Re-mount the pump using the clips that fit into the motor housing.

Re-install the cabinet, remembering to re-plug the Lid Switch and that job is done.

My he3 washer flashes 02f and stops working

This one is very easy. I paid the Sears guy $180 to come out and fix mine. I had my fiance watch him do it so she could walk me through it the next it happened. Sure enough (we have 4 dogs), it happened again one month later and I was easily able to fix the problem. You'll need a torx wrench, some towels, and a pan. On the very bottom, in the front of the washer, are two torx screws, one on each side. unscrew these and pull the lower front panel down and out. Behind this panel, in the middle, is a white plastic piece with another torx screw at the bottom. Remove this screw and pull the plastic piece forward and up. Pull it forward so you can slide a pan underneath it. There's going to be a lot of water. Put towels underneath the pan. Unscrew the center plastic piece. It will be tough but it turns counterclockwise to unscrew. Unscrew this and water and often times a big plug of debris will come out. Depending on how big your pan is, you will probably have to quickly screw the center piece back in before your pan fills up. Empty the pan and repeat until there's no more water. Inspect the center piece for any debris and clear it. Reinstallation is the reverse. Congrats, you saved $180.

I used my new proheat 2x steam cleaner the first

You may have mislaid a piece when you took your Bissell apart to clean it after using it the first time.

I experimented with mine to try and reproduce your issue. On the bottom of the water tank, there are two pieces that can be removed from it. One of them looks like a black plug at one end, with a red rubber flange piece on the other end. If you push your finger inside the red rubber piece, you can feel a spring move up and down. This is the first piece you place on the bottom of the water tank. I suspect you have this piece, because if you didn't, water would gush out of the water tank as soon as you turned it over after filling it.

The other piece, which is the one I think you may have have mislaid, is a larger black, plastic ring with screw threads. This piece goes over the top of the first plug piece, screws onto the water tank, and holds the plug in place. The words "RECLOSE TIGHTLY" appear on mine. If this piece is missing, the water tank does not sit flat on the base of the Bissell, but kind of flops around, out-of-place, and the unit will not dispense water properly, though it may leak it.

If ithat piece is gone, it should be possible to reorder it. Start here:
http://www.bissell.com/Customer_Service.aspx

If that's not the problem, if you have all the water tank pieces, I wonder if perhaps you unscrewed one black screw to remove the clear front plastic piece from the base of the unit-- the piece through which water is drawn up off the carpet-- to clean it, and didn't get it back into place properly. Make sure the two hooks at the bottom of this piece are inserted, one per side, into the clear plastic side pieces at the bottom. If the hooks are not secured properly, before trying to reinsert them, unscrew the black plastic screw so you don't break the tab. It's easy to miss getting these one of those hooks back in right, but it's important to do that before trying to screw the clear front plastic piece into place.

Kenmore 90 series mod.# 110.28912791

OK The Kenmore 90 series mod.# 110.28912791 is not hard to work on. The problem on the washer was no agitation or spin.First I took the agitater out of the tub,and put them aside. Then I tilted the washer to get to the bottom of the washer. Inbetween the motor and I gueuss pump there are three pieces that need to be replaced called (motor coupler). I disconnected ac cord from wall outlet, the cold and hot water hoses. I disconnected the wires at the motor one piece and one two wire connection pluss move a small canister with two wires out of the way. Removed three bolts bottom of pump pulled pump and motor out, you have to turn back and forth a little and the whole assembly comes out. there are two screws that hold two clips at side of motor and motor come off easy. You will notice there is a black rubber disc with a plastic white three prong piece on each side. (Remove those pieces install same way ( you need to use something to hit the center of the plastic till it sets in, install black rubber piece six wholes three prongs on one side. Install second white pronged piece on the pump side and also hit center to set. Place pump over motor looking to (make sure) the top three prongs go inside three holes left in the black rubber piece. Once you line and they go inside line the motor to where the for rubber legs sat before put clips back on install the two screws, install shaft back in moving the motor side to side install the three bolts, hook wires plugs under the motor put canister with two wires back hook the two hoses back next to motor, stand washer back up, install agitater back, hook hot and cold hoses back plug back in and test. parts at sears (one hours time start to finish taking your time) keep track of all parts. Make diagram if you need to believe me it was easy and washer works great now. By the way when I took the parts off they did not look broken but were bad because now I have a working washing mashine. How to remove front door panel on volvo s60 t5 2002 driver side

Pop the grab handle cover off, two different styles.

1. With a slot under the grab handle, take a small screw driver off and gently push up, it should just pop out.

2. Simple cover that can be separated with a bone tool or similar so you don't chip the cover piece.

Behind that you will find two Torx 25 screws, Take those out.

Around the edge of the panel should be around 8 plastic rivet type of thing.

Again...two different styles.

1. With center pins that blend in perfectly with the rivet. Should be about 3/32nds diameter. Push the center in and the rivet deals should pop out. Be sure not to lose the center piece...easy to lose.

2. Same deal but with a larger center pin.

Take the plastic triangle piece near the upper right hand area as facing the panel.

Pull bottom away from door and up to release from top section of door.

Careful removing the cable for the door lock release, and remove the connectors from the tweeter and driver's door module.

The "spinner, 3rd level wash" kept falling off. Ordered new part, no instructions with it.

I had the same problem, the 3rd level spinner falling off. Without getting into my saga story, save yourself some $$$.
-You will need a screw & washer to replace the plastic thumbtack. The screw will have to be able to screw into the female part of the spinner; the washer will keep the screw from falling out of the hole in the flat hose on the ceiling of the dishwasher.
-If you look closely at the spinner(the part that keeps falling off), you will notice it comes apart. With a flat head screwdriver, separate the 2 parts. (there are 3 parts all together; Keep the round center piece sticking out of the top peice)
--Remove the top drawer of the dishwasher to give you some room to work
-Remove the screw on the "ceiling" of the dishwasher(it is located further back from where the spinner goes) to allow the flat pastic tube to come down low enough for you to get in behind it.(set that screw aside in a safe place; you will put it back later)
-Remove the pastic thumbtack from the hole in the flat plastic tube if it is there & replace with a washer and screw.
-Take the top 2 peices of the spinner, together as assembled & screw the screw into the female portion of the spinner.
-snap on the 3rd piece of the spinner
-replace the screw you took out earlier, securing the flat plastic tube.
-place top drawer
Voila, you are done!! You just saved yourself $20+
