Re: get into front panel on maytag atlantis top load...
There are two retaining clips located a couple of inches from each end of the top edge of the front panel. The best way to find them is to use a flathead screwdriver to wedge a small crack so you can see the retaining clips with a flashlight. Once you're certain of the exact location, you just stick the screwdriver into the clip and it will release that side of the lid. Stick something into the space to keep that one from clamping back down and then do the other one. Prop the top of the machine open and look for the two retaining screws right around the same location as the retaining clips. They are I believe 1/4" machine screws. Just take those two out and the front panel should be able to pivot forward. You need to pivot it about 30 degrees toward you then lift it off the clips at the bottom.

Hi this could be coming from a number of places. First get putty knife or possible a butter knife and pop the top. There are 2 clips holding it on they are at the top front about 2" in from the corners... Push in knife and pull up on top at the same time...Fold the top back out of the way and observe inside to see where the water is leaking. If it is coming from underneath you may need to remove the front to screw top left and right then fold out and up to remove. Observe underneath to see where the leak is. If I can help with anything else please let me know.
I have an Atlantis myself. There can be several problems. Did you check that the fill hoses in the back are not leaking? Are they tight? There are hoses inside the washer and a pump near the front. I replaced my pump last year and I,m getting ready to replace the thrust bearing assembly (spin issues). Does the washer leak with every load? make sure water is not splashing over the tub when filling. The front panel comes off if you can and leave off and watch to see where water is coming from.
yes you can remove both the cover the and the cup
the cover just pops off
grab it with both hands a gentle squeeze and pull tword you,, it should pop right off
then snap back in when your ready
it would also be a good idea to wash your tub once a ytear with crystal dish washer detergent
1 cup and and empty load this will help keep your outer tub clean of soap residue
If you have the top loader, there is 2 clips on the left and right wher the front panel joins the top section. Push a flat blade in one side while trying to lift the top at the seam, it should pop open. If you raise the top there is 2 screws top left and right of the front panel inside remove these and lift the front panel up and away.
usualy there are hinges in the back and spring clips in the front, lift the front top usiing a bit of force( pry it with a thin piece of wood). make sure all the screws are off around the top , and pull out the lint fillter , there may be 2 more screws there
