Hit the menu button on the side, then select to de-activate the resolution reminder.....also you can look up what is the best resolution for your screen, especially if you are playing video's and video games.......you can change the resolution in your control panal, then hit "auto adjust" and it should fix that

If it gives you message about the resolution, set the computer to use native resolution of the monitor. You can change the resolution by right clicking on desktop and choosing "screen resolution".

I have a Samsung SuncMaster 940BW 19'' LCD Monitor. It's a geat Monitor in my humble opinion in everything, except that since i got it i have one problem with it, and it wasnt possible for me...

This is a common problem with monitors when changing resolution. What probably happened is you may have tried to change the resolution, or an application changed the resolution, to an incompatible resolution.

For example, if you have a tiny little screen it can't display that huge resolution that a 32 inch monitor has. So, your monitor is stuck in that wrong resolution.

To fix this problem, you need to boot into Safe Mode. Restart your computer, and as it is booting up tap F8 a bunch of times, and then select Boot into Safe Mode.

When it boots up, right click on the desktop, click Properties (Windows XP) or Screen Resolution (Windows 7). When the window pops up, click Settings (if on Windows XP, if on Windows 7 skip to next step). From this window, change the resolution back to the basic 800 x 600 screen resolution.

Now, reboot your computer normally. You should be able to see the desktop. Now, you can do the same thing that you did in safe mode and turn up your resolution. BUT, when you change it, if the screen goes BLANK again, DO NOT press anything. After 15 seconds it should go back, and you can try a lower resolution.

Hope this helps! Thanks for using FixYa.

The resolution reminder keeps popping up on my screen and no matter what I do it just keeps doing this over and over. The resolution is set correct at 1440x900. It does this mostly when I am trying to play...

My suggestion is to lower your resolution. In high intensity graphic type games it may be just a bit too much for your monitor to handle

I hope this helps you out.

The correct resolution is: 1920x1200 You can set it by right-clicking on your desktop and choosing "Screen Resolution" in Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you use Windows XP, right-click on your desktop and choose "Properties" Then open the rightmost tab to choose the resolution

Computer making noise

Monitor clicks, pops, or makes other noises. Issue: Monitor clicks, pops, or makes other noises.
Cause: This issue could be caused by any of the below possibilities:
  1. Monitor degaussing.
  2. Monitor changing resolution.
  3. Monitor syncing with the video card.
  4. Monitor warming up.
Solution: Noise when turned on or off It is normal for standard computer CRT monitors to make a click, pop, crackle, hum, buzz, or other type of noises when they are first turned on or turned off.
Noise when monitor goes into standby mode When the monitor enters a "standby mode" or "power savings mode" this is similar to the monitor being turned off. It is completely normal for the monitor to make a noise when the monitor enters this mode.
Noise when opening Microsoft Windows or other operating system or when opening a game When a computer opens its operating system, for example, a computer opening Microsoft Windows or when a user runs a computer game it is very common that the monitor will need to switch its resolution of the operating system or game. When switching resolutions it is normal for the computer monitor to make some type of noise and/or for the computer monitor to flick or flash.
Noise during normal operation If the computer monitor click, pops, or flashes while it is being used this is not normal operation. It is very likely that the monitor may be failing or a component within the monitor has already failed and could also potentially be a fire hazard. We highly recommend that the monitor be repaired, replaced, and/or looked at by a qualified technician.
