Hello,
The functions are many, and the only way to master them is to have the user guide for the calculator ready at hand. Read sparingly, focussing on the problem at hand. By constant practice you will soon use it as pro.

Here is the link to the calculator's guide.

Hope it helps.

My TI-83 plus say Cos(180) =-.598.. What is wrong?

Nothing's wrong with your calculator. The cosine of 180 radians is -.598...

If you want the cosine of 180 degrees, set the calculator's angle mode to degrees by pressing the MODE button, moving down to the third line, and selecting "Degree".

Casio calculator fc-100v, to the power of?

Hello

To calculate a number to an arbitrary power you use the button labeled ^ .

If you want the cube of 2 your enter
[2][^][3] will give you 8. If your exponent is negative use the sign change key (-) and close the negative exponent between parentheses : for exemple the sequence to compute 2 to power of negative 5 is as follows
2[^] [(] 5 [(-)] [)] which means you enter the value of the exponent before the change sign (-). If you use the big MINUS sign you will get a syntax error.

Hope it helps.
