I got a rca m4208 mp3 player for x mas i can't get my computer to recognize it

1 plug it into the usb device of your computer
2 hold down the play button.
3 download the latest firmware from the RCA website.
4 install the firmware and should work like brand new

When i got my rca mp3 the easy rip software was able to open.


If you have upgrade your computer after it was busted, that could cause your old version of the easy rip software to not recognize your rca mp3. what you'll prob need to do is update the easy rip software.

RCA EasyRip won't recongize that my mp3 player is connected. Any ideas?


Make sure the player is in MSC mode. If the computer mounts your player as a drive letter, then easyRip shoud recognize it too. Make sure to get the latest version from their website:

The rca video converter doesn't recognize player.


Make sure the RCA mp3 player is connected to the computer when you install and/oropen the RCA video converter.

Easy Rip Software


Plug your RCA M4208GR-B MP3 player into your computer with the USB cord. After the computer recognizes it.
STEP 1 click start
STEP 2 click MY COMPUTER
STEP 3 Right click the associated drive letter (i.e. OPAL) to show the option menu.
STEP 4 click "install RCA easy rip"

Turn your player on and go to settings. Scroll down the menu until you see "PROTOCOL" and switch it from MSC to MTP. Your computer will now recognize your device, and you will be able to add whatever you want to it.
