Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: laptop opening up at phoenix securecore tiano

Hi fantailbllue...

Turn on your computer, go into safe mode by press the F8 key on top of your keyboard while starting up.
This will start you in the SAFE MODE.
Select Safe Mode.
From there, go into your User accounts and either delete the account and/or change the password
Be sure and write it down this time.
I would make a password boot disk/cd while you're at it that way if you lost the paper, you will always have a back-up on the disk/cd.

SOURCE: my laptop won't boot from cd

if u can boot from CD rom without ur HD then ur booting is OK. BIOS has nothing to do with ur HD booting.....it's just that the machine starts from BIOS 1st...then looks for the HDD to load the Win boot files..else it goes to CD rom for the boot files...and so on...
check that the boot from HDD sequence is not disabled in BIOS.
keep this boot seq
1 CD ROM
2 Floppy
3 HDD
4 USB HD
try this...1st
disable all 1 to 3 in above seq
connect a USB cd rom drive or a USB pen drive
ensure that ur Win disk is either in the USB CD rom drive or Win install files(copy of Win CD) are in a USB pen drive check if it boots from the pen drive....
after you boot....
connect your HDD now check if it can recognise the HD....else we can work on plan B

L500 starts in Phoenix Secure Core Tiano Setup. What is this and why doesn't it start in safe mode when I press F8?

Sounds like the bios software. The bios is a configuration utility that basically tells the internal components how to work together. If the bios is all you can get to come up either changes have been made to the bios and your computer doesn't recognize your hard drive or your hard drive has in fact died. Which is most common.

Booting into bios is typically an indication that something has gone out be it the hard drive or ram memory or just something on the motherboard itself.

I would imagine there are a handful of YouTube videos that can guide you through bios and how to use it to diagnose what exactly is wrong or help you find the right settings too get everything running again. Good luck!

My lenovo laptop starts with phoenix secure core tiano setup every time how can I get back windows

Guess your boot files or boot sector is damaged. A friend recommended me this application:

TestDisk CGSecurity

Take note that for my luck, I've never used it so I can't tell you if it works for you.

Another option might be WinPE, a CD resident trimmed version of windows. Uncompress the ISO file and burn it to a CD, boot your computer selecting as first boot up option your CD-ROM and use a small utility it has bundled to recover boot files.

I did use this one on the computer of a friend and worked

Take note that this application won't work if your hard disk is physically damaged

NEC laptop stuck in Phoenix BIOS Setup Utility

While in the BIOS setup utility, go through the tabs/menus looking for BOOT sequence. Configure the laptop to boot from CD-Drive before any other drive. Have the installation CD in drive.Save the changes made to the BIOS configuration, and exit the BIOS. Reboot.
If the installation medium itself does not have a problem, you should be able to boot from it and have the opportunity to install the operating system.

Phoenix securecore tiano setup

I would take it back to where you bought it to be honest bennet. Sounds as though something went wrong on the setup and you will probably have to shutdown the EFI. Let the place where you bought it take care of it.

Start in Safe Mode (by repeatedly pressing F8 while the computer starts.) Go to Start, Run, type msconfig and hit enter. Remove Phoenix Secure Core from start items ! This should do it !
