Question about Abit IN9 32X-MAX Motherboard

1 Answer

BIOS can't find all HDD and they soud broken

I've got 3 Samsung HD501LJ, an Intel Core 2 Duo 67800 SL92F Costa Rica and a EVGA 8800 GTS overclocked
When I boot the System, most of the time the BIOS can't find some or sometimes any of the HD and it sounds as if the HD is broken.
After several attempts,it works without problems, but the next time I boot it starts all over again!

Define what you mean by broken.
Do you mean a rattling noise, a high-pitched wherring noise, a low-pitched wherring noise?
It is possible that your power supply cannot power all your hard drives, your video card and everything else in the system.

It is also possible that 1 of your hard drives could be dieing.
What happens when you follow dickcanfixit's instructions?

check the connections to your hard drives. If your sure that everything is snugly plugged in boot up in bios and make sure you have everything turned on. You may have something turned off on the chip or you may have one device on. It depends on the bios your using. You can also connect the other drive by itself to make sure it's working at all. I would try that second after checking to make sure you have all the drives plugged into the correct ports.

Okay, you're troubleshooting an overclocked system. First thing you do is remove the overclocked settings. Does the problem go away?

Disconnect one of the drives and try again. Does the problem go away?

Disconnect another drive, reconnect the first one. Does the problem go away?

You must narrow down your possibilities, right now it could be any number of things wrong. Post back here with the results of your testing.

My core 2 duo E6550 does not work on my foxconn g41mxe motherboard

Motherboard supports Processors with a Front Side Bus (FSB) of either 800Megahertz, or 1066MHz.

1333MHz FSB support is done with OVERCLOCKING.

Intel Core2 Duo E6550 processor has a 1333MHz FSB.

http://www.manualowl.com/m/Foxconn/G41MXE/Manual/297328

I reduced the view size to 120 percent. Go to Page 27.
Press DELete key to enter BIOS Setup.

Use Down Arrow key to highlight - Fox Central Control Unit
Press the Enter key

CPU Frequency Setting should be set to 333 (333MHz)
Intel processors are 'Quad Pumped'
333MHz x 4 = Approximately 1333MHz. (1332)

Note the version of the BIOS program also.

This motherboard has 1 PCI Express x16 slot for a graphics card.

You could use:
Geforce 6 series (6800GT)

Geforce 7 series (GeForce 7950, GeForce 7900, GeForce 7800, GeForce 7600 ,
GeForce 7300, GeForce 7200 and GeForce 7100)
