Question about Hotpoint Ovens
Model no. RK736G0P5BG
serial no. ML6107900
Oven was not on but had been used an hour or so before the problem. beeped continuously and F-1 flashed across the screen. mashed off an it quit momentarily then repeated doing it until I cut off the circuit breaker. This was Saturday night, and it did the same thing Sunday Morning.
I used the self cleaning mode for 2 hours and the error f2 keeps flashing and beeping, I did try to power off with the breaker and left it off for about a half hour and it still continues to beep and flash f2, what should I do?

Sounds like leaving the door open has possibly cooked the controller. I would try a power cycle - power off at fuse for 5 minutes, then reapply power. If this doesn't clear it, you may need a new controller for it.

HI. This code is an indication of a shorted upper door latch circuit. This could have be caused by a malfunctioning relay board.
The necessary actions are to gain access to the upper door latch assembly, and test the circuit with a meter. Use the procedure below.
Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your VOM's ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty. Use caution when testing.
NOTE_ If the upper door latch switch passes the test, simply replace the relay board.
