Question about Computers & Internet
Have a d-link dir-815 router. works fine for wireless connection of laptop to home computer. would like to connect smartphone to home wi-fy. get "authentication problem" message although several secured networks are displayed, including mine. connected to wi-fy at local shopping centre with no problem. must be wrong setting somwhere in my wireless router configuration. computer is a dell xps 8300 with windows 7. phone is a sony ericson xperia mini st15a with android 4.0.4.
The smart phone should work fine on any wireless router. Try going to wireless settings on the phone and if it has your network remember click and hold on your network and select forget network. This should clear out any thing cached about your network. Once that is done try re-connecting to your network and enter any password you may have.
