Question about Mitsubishi WD-65738 DLP TV

1 Answer

Mitsubihi WD-65738 no power, no lights. Is there a fuse I can check? Maybe by the plug?

TV was working yesterday afternoon. TV is bricked now. There is no power reaching the TV. No blinking lights, red, green or otherwise. There's gotta be a broken or blown fuse somewhere? Any clues before I try to disassemble? Thanks so much. ~Eric

Thanks for the reply. Will it look like a regular blown fuse? I'll go and try to disassemble tonight after work.

This is what the local repair shop replied back when I emailed them the symptons... "The fuses are not visible, unplug the TV from the power strip and maybe try a different outlet. We have not seen a problem with capacitors on this model but anything is possible in the game of electronic repair. Thanks, Sara"

tonight, i opened the back panel like SD Tech suggested and sure enough there is a blown fuse. it's a 125v 10amp fuse. problem is, Radio Shack doesn't carry any. Not sure where else to go to find the right fuse. might have to order online... ugh. hope this might help others.

contacted a local tv repair shop and he said to come on by for the fuse as he should have one. he looked at the blown fuse and provided me with a 250v 10am fuse. i questioned him as the blown fuse was 125v. his reply was that 250v will not have an issue, something vaugly technical, and then that it will work. got home, replaced the fuse, screwed things back into place, and the tv started up. bad news though, found out that my ps3 hdmi port is shot. composite works though. thanks.

Follow the power cord inside to the power board--line fuse will be there--have fun and patience as a lot of screws to remove to get there---as seen from rear power board should be to far left side.

SOURCE: Timer light blinking green/tv won't turn on

the wd 62327 doesn't have a DM module as it doesn't have the atsc tuner. are you sure you have a wd62327?

in a normal set
power:
Green Blink = μPC Initializing (after AC off/on) (1~2 sec)

get the error code by doing this: (and let me know)

Error Code Operational Check
Pressing the front panel “INPUT” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,
activates the Error Code Mode. The ” Power LED” flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem
has occured since the last Initalization.
Note: The front panel buttons must used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Example: If the Error Code is “34”, the LED will flash 3 times, pause, and then flash 4 times.

SOURCE: MIT WD-62525 DLP TV blinking green light on front won't stop

Hi!

It means your TV needs to reset. Although you have reset it previously, now again reset the TV as per procedure given below:

Please press the SYSTEM RESET button on the front panel with a pointed item such as the point of a ball point pen or end tip of a paperclip.

The TV will turn off and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. After the green LED stops flashing, turn on the TV again. The changes you made while the TV was most recently on, before you used the SYSTEM RESET button, may be lost; the changes you made previously, however, are not lost. Only those changes since the last power on may be lost when the system reset button is pressed. All other settings are retained.

TV Reset Menu

Read on-screen warnings before proceeding, as some user data or settings may be erased.

1. Press TV MENU and then 1, 2, 3 to see the RESET SERVICE MENU to reset the TV.

2. Select Reset System Defaults (CAUTION: All settings, except V-Chip, will be reset to the original factory defaults.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

SOURCE: green light continues to blink. TV does not power

Howdy,
Try these ;
1. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001.

2. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V).

The board is on the left hand side of TV from the back. It is standing up, in a silver box.

Good Luck, BIG IRISH.

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

Profile 3 won't power up, green light on power brick blinks when connected, green light steady when disconnect from computer. Is the problem in the power brick or the computer itself? Thank you.

You can daignose if the problem is with power brick or computer itself, by connecting any other electorinc device from power brick. See if the green light continue to blink. Further there is a chart given on the power brick, which indicates which lights should be ON for normal state. You can also try replacing the phuse on power brick, if faulty.

It will power on but then turn right back off it worked fine yesterday

One of four things happen when these lcd's get power problems. 1. They either go completely dead[no power with no lights] 2. Little green light will blink and go back to red with dtv briefly showing and then the tv screen go blank 3. Same as # 2, but with screen staying blank. The fourth is extremely rare, which is a shorted panel that makes the tv set behave like it's getting no power. All signal a bad tv, and the fourth is not usually repairable, requiring a whole new panel. I hear that power flows thru the panel, so that would explain how sometimes it will short out.

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

Sony Bravia KDL26S3000 TV

According to the service manual if the red light is blinking then the TV may need to be service. Since your TV is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty.
I would suggest to contact Sony to ask them for the nearest authorized service center to have the tv repair.
Good Luck.
