Question about LG LD65EL Dehumidifier
My dehumidifier is about 2 years old. It ran fine for about 1 year, then it started running exceptionally loud and never collects water. It will shut on and off automatically, but no water collection in bucket. Please advise.
As I already said in my report of similar behavior the problem appears to be that the
fan motor has burned out. If humid air is not constantly being pushed past the humidity probe the dehumidifier cannot run. I starts up and then (watch it on yours) humidity reading will rapidly fall in front of your eyes and the gadget will shut down. The solution appears to be replacement of the fan motor. Also, check yours by putting your hand against the grill in front and behind the unit. If there is no air flow you can feel on your hand then the problem is definitely the fan motor.
