Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: the source button on my tv remote has just stopped working its a hitachi rc1800. i can turn over and the volume its just the sourcs and the 4 colours dont work please help me

Single buttons not working is rare but not unheard of .

Get the remote tested so you know, most shops have a tester==point remote at it and press any button and if good tester reacts.

Many digital cameras in a very dark room will react in same way when remote pointed and push buttons with a tiny flash of light on the camera display screen.

This tells you if any are not sending.

Someone else just had a similar question and I dug out a old tip of mine, here is the link and its on this site with how to correct if those buttons are not working.

Not sure, but sounds like the problem is with the RC. Try watching TV without the RC to see if it stop jumping between channels.

follow this test and fix it. God bless you

The speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The Mute function is activated. Turn off the Mute function. The volume is turned all the way down. Turn up the volume. Neither set of speakers is selected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press either A or B to select a set of speakers. Both sets of speakers are selected, but only one set is connected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press the appropriate button to deselect the speaker outputs which are not connected. The receiver is set to TAPE MONITOR (if applicable). Turn off TAPE MONITOR mode. Headphones are plugged into the main unit. Unplug the headphones. The source selector is set to the wrong source. Select the proper source. The impedance of the speakers is less than the rating for the system. Use speakers with the correct impedance rating.

Where can I find remote codes for a RC-Lrn

For RC-LRN Remote (5 digit coding)
Before starting, retreive the 5 digit codes for you device - I found all my codes at http://2getdtv.com/directv/remote_codes.html
1. Press button for the device you want to program ie DVD.
2. Press and hold Setup button until it blinks twice.
3. Enter 5 Digit Code (ie LG DVD =31531), the power button will blink once slowly
4. Then press power button to turn on/off device.
5. If code fails, try next code.
Note: Some codes work better than others.

Does the SOURCE ON\OFF button still work? If so, you can still use the remote to turn the receiver on and off by first pressing the AMP button (so that the remote window says AMP) and then pressing the SOURCE ON\OFF button.
