Question about Onkyo TX-SR302 Receiver
Remote control missing. Cannot figure out how to adjust speaker levels independently with out remote. It had the channel select function and adjustment on it. Cant find the function on the unit itself.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I just read over the problem you were having with your Onkyo TX-SR500 receiver. It sound like the unit needs to be setup for all five channels.Sence your symptom says the diplay shows Dolby D3/2.1. According to the owners manual with the remote control look for speaker setup whin the button is pressed the current speaker setup will be shown in the display. Press the preset/adjustment<> to change the current setting to five speakers. the listening mode will automatically change according to the number of channels you selected. Hope this helps. Radiotech

Do you have the interface cables for the Onkyo? And is this simply a DVD connection. Nothing else planned for this connection? I have two installation guides for Onkyo outputs.

you cannot control a ps3 with that remote because the playstation 3 only works with bluetooth. I'm sorry to have to tell you. you can purchase a remote that works with your system at any that sells your system.
hope this helped

I had the very same problem tonight (no speaker setup menu (2)) and was about to do the reset as suggested by other poster... but then I noticed that the front of the amp was showing DIRECT just below the DD sign... this got me thinking that there must be a correlation between the DIRECT sound setting and the lack of speaker setup... (sound was only coming out of the FR and FL speakers - no surround and no Sub)
Essentially to fix this I had to review all my settings for the inputs and (iirc) the audio settings....
Long and short of it is that I was able to sort the problem without resorting to a full reset... I am a total newbie to all the AV amps and settings etc ... so am still playing with it so-to-speak
Hope this helps
