Hmmm... how does this question relate to sewing machines?

Hire some one to take them out if you can. Otherwise wear gloves and start cutting then dig out the root ball.

How do I cut back old roses ?

Rose bushes can be heavily pruned, I did my mothers many years ago and they grew very well after, for size, 4 bushes totally filled a space about 4 metres long and 2.5 metres high. Far more and stronger flowers after pruning. To actually do pruning use secatures(sp), I prefer bypass ones to anvil ones. Cut just above new stems. My mother's were taken almost to ground level but they were pretty out of control. Hope this helps.

Why did my beautiful pink climbing rose come back this year as aweful red. hate it

Frequently, changes result because of the crossing of various varieties to achieve a certain look, color, size, etc. However, at times those roses will revert back to the varieties that were originally used to create the new rose. I once had a beautiful dark orange rose bush. After several years, the rose "miraculously" divided and became two separate rose varieties in one plant. Half of the plant was a beautiful pale yellow Peace rose, the other was a wild variety of red rose.

Why are my roses changing color

What causes rose leaves to turn yellow?

If you're asking about something to do with a sewing machine, I'm not going to be helpful, but if you're asking about rose bushes, then read on.
Yellow leaves can be caused by the soil pH being too far off what roses like. Slightly acidic is what they want. Alkaline is typical of many locations where roses don't do well.
Iron deficiency is another reason for yellow leaves. Often caused by alkaline soil.

Rose bush has a woody area on stem, is this a *******? Area above is dyeing down.

If by "woody area" you mean that part of the stem is black and dead-looking, I would cut that stem below the bad area.

Need manual for rose

Try this link for free manual for the Viking Rose machine -

http://new.husqvarnaviking.com/SiteMedia/Products/Machines/Support/Rose_605_manual_EN.pdf

There are 2 models called 'Rose'. The original Rose is the manual above. The newer Rose is called the Eden Rose. You can find most user manuals for Viking machines on their website. Here's how:

website: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us
Go to bottom of page on righthand side and click on 'Machine Updates'.
If your machine is not listed click on 'All Machines"
Scroll down until you find your machine and click on the name of your machine.
The link should take you to a page with a picture of your machine and a link to Download the manual which is a PDF file.

Good luck.

How do you use the Plus Hoop on a Husqvarna Viking "Rose" Sewing Machine?

The plus hoop is a multi positional hoop that allows you you to embroider designs up to 4" x 6". It is essential for monogramming and lettering using your Rose. The Rose hooping system is the same as the 1+, the Scandinavia 300 and 400.

The designs you use must be formatted for the plus hoop. That is, the design has already been divided into two or three elements. Each element is an individual design. For instance, say the design is a long stemmed rose. It would probably be divided something like this: design 1: the flower and the top part of the stem, design 2: The middle part of the stem and the leaves, design 3: the bottom part of the stem.

You would hoop up your fabric to be embroidered, attach the hoop to the machine, set the hoop to position 1, select design 1, stitch out design 1, set the hoop to position 2, select design 2, stitch out design 2, set the hoop to position 3, select design 3, stitch out design 3. You should have a complete design when you're done and everything should match up perfectly!

The hoop is divided up into three squares, 4" x 4". Position 1 square overlaps position 2 square and position 2 square overlaps position 3 square. This overlapping allows the designs to stitch out more smoothly.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions. Carrie

Will a Husqvarna #1 Plus embroidery unit work on a Husqvarna Rose machine?

I am sorry to inform you that Husqvarna # 1 embroidery unit does not fit onto the Rose machine. The terminals on the Rose is upright, while on the H # 1 it is flat. If you want to do embroidery on the Rose, you will have to purchase the embroidery unit.

Sad but true
