I have a Orion Standard television. I have hooked up an antenna but no channels are being found. Why can't any channels be found?

I have followed both instruction manuals but it still isn't finding any channels.

Check the settings in the tv, select 'AIR' in the option. if still no channel receive and it has only a raster like a snow the cause would be a bad tuner board.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: hook up DVD

I hooked up my DVD player to the Yellow/Red/White inputs on the back of the set. I think you can buy a manual for $2.60 from the Orion website. Good luck.

SOURCE: Trouble with Channel setup

It is important for the TV to know what type of
signal-Cable TV (CATV) or a normal antenna
you are using. Choose your signal (Antenna or
Cable):
Press MENU to see the main menu.
Press CH+ or CH- to highlight Setup.
Press OK
to enter the Setup submenu.
TV/CATV is highlighted. Press VOL+ or
VOL-
to select TV or CATV.
Choose CATV if you have Cable TV
service. (See page 4 for connection
details.) If you do not have Cable TV
service and you connected an antenna
to the TV, choose TV. (See page 5 for
connection details.)
Press MENU repeatedly to exit the
menu or the menu will automatically
disappear within a few seconds if no
buttons are pressed on the remote
control.

And here is the manual if you need .

This model is not digital.....to receive digital channels you need a digital set top box or another type of digital receiver to get any channels!

Everything from Channel 14 and up won't reset

If you have just an air antenna and your tv is set for cable and not air, you will not pickup any channels past 13.

How can I hook up a Magnavox dv220mw9a DVD/CD player to my Orion 1934 19" TV?

One possible solution would be to use an RF Modulator. This will convert the composite (red white and yellow jacks) output from your player to channel 3 or 4 on your tv. Try radio shack or any store that sells electronics to find one. Follow the instructions that come with the RF Modulator.
I hope this is helpful.

TV will not get cable channels

If you have it hooked up to a digital box, it shouldn't matter if the TV is on cable or antenna mode. The only thing that matters is that the TV is on channel 3. Channels will be changed on digital box. Some newer TV's use input 1 or 2 or AUX for it to work. If I were you i would hook everything up and start playing with the channels going up and down until you get a picture.
