Question about Magnavox Mdr533h Dvd Hdd Recorder

Open Question

Magnovox MDR533H/F7 DVD Recorder turns off every time I turn it on?

When unit is in standby, I push the button to turn on, it reads Power On and then it shuts off, I can not turn it back on to standby with any buttons, I unplug and wait 20 - 30 minutes, plug it in, it goes to standby and from there it will repeat the same thing.

SOURCE: Magnavox 42NF4398/F7 turns on, goes

Hello

Ok what i want you to do is a hard reset on your tv set just to see what happens, unplug your tv set from the wall for about 4 hours after 4 hours plug it back in and see what happens,if this procedure does not fix the problem then your problem is coming from either your tv sets backlight or the inverter circuits for the backlight.

The inverter circuits are the power supply circuits for your backlight. This circuits are the ones that feed the power to the backlight if they are faulty then the backlight will not work and can cause this kinds of problems.

Moreover the most common problem would be a bad backlight that is causing this problem and has to be replaced, but it is hard to say which one is causing this problem on your tv set, with out being able to troubleshoot your tv set.

My suggestion to you would be to take it to your nearest tv repair shop and get your tv set serviced, the backlight is a common problem and 9 out of 10 times it has to be replaced, but just to be on the safe side i would take it to a tv repair shop, depending on the tv repair shop it should not be more than 200 dollars or less to get your tv set up and running, but it depends on the tv repair shop.

SOURCE: magnavox ZC320MW8 door stays open

f the tray won't open or close properly, check the belt for dirt or wear. Then check the tray for misalignment. If needed, remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall the tray following the instructions in the owner's manual.
God bless you

Testimonial: "I took it apart, I really didn't do anything other than blow some air into it and used some alcohol with cotton swab on a few of the parts, put together and its works, I can't say I did anything other than having it apart, unplugging & plugging back in to test the door, I think one of those plastic wheels I cleaned with alcohol may have fixed it, can't say for sure."

SOURCE: Why is it stuck in standby?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

DVD stuck in my Panasonic DMR-E30

Hi Rock.

I had the same problem like this on my machine. The best way to fix it is to turn the machine off completely and hold on the eject button then turn the power on. You want the first thing the player does is to eject the disk without trying to read it first.

I hope it works let me know if it doesn't and i'll try and recreate the problem on my player and see what i can do to get the disk out.

The last resort is to manually take the disk out but lets cross that bridge if my suggestion above doesn't work.

Thanks

smeags.

Magnavox MDR537H/F7 no power

Some surge protectors cut off all power, when they reach the surge protection limit in joules. Power strips have reset buttons to restore power. Try plugging it directly into the electrical wall socket. If it works, then purchase a new surge protector. The DVD recorder may have a internal fuse that has burned open.

LG DVD Recorder- Clock settings Model RH277H

The clock settings will only be retained if you power down the unit via the On/Off button on the remote or on the unit i.e. put the unit into standby mode. If you switch off mains power the clock settings are lost as there is no backup battery in the unit. Power consumption on standby is negligible.

Ok what you can do (with power off and unplugged) is open the unit up, find the load and unload motor on the DVD carriage and manually turn it this will unload the disk.
