Question about Smeg CSU2001 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Smeg dishwasher not orking properly

It fills at the bottom from the drain point not from the sprinklers. Tubes are set up the same as it was years ago. When i opened it near the end the element was hot but no water was in there.

it is that there is not water circulating ....not that element was drying the water. Is it likely to be the pump (water cycle pump) or the capacitor/fuse for that pump is faulty..does anyone know how to fix this?

If water is coming in the drain then you could have a bad check valve. when you open the dw at the end and there was no water it was because you were in the drying cycle and the eement was drying the water as it came in.

Check the screen, which is under the bottom wash bar. You need to pull out and clean and then see if it will drain. Also listen to make sure the drain motor is running, it also could go bad on you.

Smeg Dishwasher not circulating water

Sound like the thermostat doesn't know what the water temperature is set at.

It could be the wash pump. Check to see that the float on the bottom of the DW is unstuck by gently picking it up and setting it down { It is shaped like a mushroom and controls the water level in the bottom of the DW }. Did it move freely?

Dishwasher cavitates. I have a Smeg DI612CA9

Does the drain hose loop up to the top of the unit before going to the sink drain? If it goes down first it may be siphoning or draining by gravity.

HOW DO I DRAIN WATER FROM MY SMEG DISHWASHER

There is a screen filter at the bottom of most dish washers, if the screen gets dirty it probly won't drain properly. Check the screen and clean if neccesary. If not that, then pump may be getting weak.

Smeg dishwasher Beeps when trying to drain...seems to wash ok but

Check your air gap at the sink for internal obstructions (take it aoart and clean it) Also check the dishwasher drain outlet into the garbage disposal (if you have one) They tend to clog up inside the garbage disposal. You may have to pull the hose off that connects to the garbage disposal to clean the hole out.

Machine won't drain fully

If the drain pump is working fine, and water flows from the machine and there are no clogged drain lines, then the problem is usually the water level sensor.

This is usually a floater sensor located on a side inside the dishwasher.

Check if water level is working properly, if the floater is too low then that is the problem.

SA 660 SMEG dishwasher constantly filling....

this can be water draining from your sink into the dishwasher via the drain pipe, assuming the drain pipe goes to a spigot on the sink trap.
take the drain hose up as high as possible in a swan neck to prevent this.

SMEG Dishwasher - Water fill level is too low

Hi, I found your problem stuck here from one year ago.

I will post my solution the same, as reference for you and more users with same problem, apologies.

Re: smeg dishwasher fails to fill with enough water to sucessfully wash. It does put some water in.. but nowhere near enough.

Before checking parts inside the machine, ensure that water is coming from the faucet at the back with regular pressure.

To start check the water level sensor.

This is usually a floater sensor located on a side inside the dishwasher.

Check if water level is working properly, if the floater is getting stuck then that is the problem.

If the water level is OK, then the responsible is usually the inlet valve, or clogged inlet lines.

From description it looks more like a faulty water level.

Smeg DI 612CA

Take a look at this link http://www.smeg-service.co.uk/support/index.php?a=1&cat=4

Would seem to be the anti flooding device on the inlet hose
