What you are doing is reseting the heater when you unplug it there should be a overheatswitch that is cutting in and shutting it down

Shut the power off. Pull the thermostat off the wall and jumper the two wires, meaning put them together. Turn the power back on and if the heater works fine its in the thermostat

What is easy way to replace the thermostate in

Hi, that thermostat should be a wall mount. This heater has only 2 wires and any "Heat only", "millivolt" thermostat will work. Remove the old T-Stat and mount the new one on the wall, only 2 wires and less than a volt so no shock danger, doesn't even matter which wire goes where. Good luck and comment back if you need any help.

My Cozy Wall Heater won't turn off! Even when the thermostat is in the off position it just keeps running. I need to physically turn off the gas supply to get it to stop. When it turn it back on i need to...

If the unit has a wall thermostat, remove one of the wires from the thermostat. If the unit stops it indicates a bad thermostat. If it continues to heat, remove one of the wires coming from the thermostat going to the gas valve inside the heater. If it continues to heat you have a bad gas valve. If the heater shuts off, you have a bad thermostat wire (short).

Pilot lights fine, furnace fires up, when it turns off the pilot goes out

need to have at least 3 feet of vent out of the roof, if it is to low the coll air will cold soak down to the pilot and shut it down.
