Main fuse: follow the power cord inside the set as it goes directly to the fuse first.

Likely an AKAI DLP made actually by Samsung. All 3 lights blinking is lamp failure. You can fix yourself with owner's manual.

No power and no lights

Follow power cord to fuse inside and check it, total loss of power usually means a fuse or power supply.

My akai rear projection dlp tv has no power and I don't know where the grille lamp is located. I'm not sure why the power is not coming on, I've check all I know to check.

The lamp is accessed removing a panel on the back right side. If there are no lights at all it may not be the lamp but the power supply (no fuses inside).

Only DLP TVs have a lamp ,projection has 3 tubes red/green/blue. Call Encompass for power supply board, Akai is the same as Samsung.

AKAI Rear Projection 46"TV has a blank picture with sound only

Hello,

Is it a CRT or a DLP/LCD projector? If not a CRT, a worn-out projection lamp can cause this symptom. When it is a DLP projector, a faulty Colour Wheel sensor can be the additional problem. If it is a CRT projection unit the High Voltage and deflection circuit must be examined...

Please tell me more about your unit...
