Common heating faults with Bosch HBL 455 Stainless Steel Electric double oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEOTUTORIALS 1, If the Bosch fan motor in the back of the oven is going round andthe temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heatthen you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easyto fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with aelectric meter.
To gain access to the BOSCH element you willhave to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will seethe fan and element, if youlook closely at the element you willprobably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes howeverthere is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie:broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Someelements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nutsfrom the rear of the machine.
2, If your BOSCH fanoven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the foodmore on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you willsee the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven thenyou need To replace the oven fan motor is a little moreexpensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heatingand burning everything then you will need to replace your BOSCH oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BOSCH oven is not working at all ie: noheat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Hotpoint bd32 oven and top oven/grill what output does this have .and does it need 6mm cable connection or can it go on a plug

Hi.
You most definitely need a 6mm hard wired supply cable to cooker, anything less, and the cable will overheat .
Under no circumstances connect it to a 13 amp suupply and plug.
The total kw output can reach in excess of 4-5 kw, so it is imperative that you hard wire it to a seperate fused supply.

If i need 6mm feed to my neff double oven u15m62 why is there a 240v cable sticking out the back

Yes, the reason for the deeper shell requirement is for electrical connections. And that unit is listed at 240V so there will be a cable attached there.

Just had delivered Boch HBM13B221B Double oven. There is no cable. How do I attach it to the electrics in the house

Hi.
You need to wire it up with 6mm twin and earth cable.
You must connect it to a seperate 30amp double pole cooker box, and nothing else.
Do not onder any circumstances connect it to a 13 amp socket outlet,
Unless you have a good knowledge of electrics, then I would recommend you get a qualified electrician to wire it in for you.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Oven has 4 conductor power cable, moved to house with 3 conductor

Unless your cooker is totally different to the norm, then yes you can use 3 core cable. assuming you are in the u/k, then the following applys.Brown is live-Blue is neutral, andGreen/Yellow is earth.
Depending on the total wattage of the cooker, you will need to use a min of 6mm twin and earth cable, If in any doubt, consult an electrician

Is 10mm cable ok from 4kw oven to connector unit

A bigger cable size (larger diameter conductors) will not affect power requirements of the stove. (A smaller one definitely will)
