Did you try to connect it to another PC, different port in the same PC? Are all SATA ports enabled on the motherboard? It may be problem with fault motherboard, sata/power cables or the hard drive itself.
If it's a second drive for you can you try connecting it through USB bridge to see will it work that way.

WD MyPassPort 320 GB partially dead after an attempt to make it Win8 recovery drive.


Maybe you can try to format it to see if you can get the space back. But one thing important is that you may need to backup your files first. If not, you may lose them. Or you may try some file recovery tool after you format your drive. If you repartition the drive, clearing the 32Gb partition, if the drive is not damaged, it should then format properly.

You would have had to have the hard drive specifically insured against damage you should check your computers insurance policy it should be insured against damage read the fine print.

If your motherboard is latest, go to BIOS or CMOS Set up and look for HDD properties and if you can find the Enhanced or Compatible mode..please change it to Compatible so your computer can detect the SATA Harddrive.
