SOURCE: freezer cooling but bottom refrigerator not cooling

Make sure the cooling fins are free of dust and debris. If not try to recharge the freon supply. If that don't work the compressor might be going bad. Which in most cases it's easier to replace the unit after parts and labor you could be looking at some serious money......Hope that was helpful....... : )

SOURCE: model number ARB2217CW Amana Refrigerator Bottom

I would check the circulating fan. This problem is very hard to diagnose because the fan spins but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and the frig.

SOURCE: Refrigerator doesn't cool/freeze - clicking, cyclying noise repeates, but doesn't cool

I've been told by a tech who repaired my MFD2560HEQ this past week that many of this model had a problem with compressor failure. Your symptoms are classic. What you are hearing is the starter relay trying to start a warm/hot compressor by supplying it with an extra jolt of electricity, but because of the faulty compressor (or if you are lucky a faulty relay) that's warm (cool ones start more easily often) is refusing to budge into motion and compress the freon. Maytag, I believe, has a five year warranty on the compressors. They did on mine, but unless you have an extended warranty the labor replacing it is not covered and that will be around 2-3 hours worth. This is the price we are paying for our quest for energy efficiency. Compressors are being built so small and light that they fail much more often than grandma's old, old refrigerator that was built like Fort Knox and ran for 45 years, remember? But we're being energy efficient! Thank you environmental extremists! I wish I could send you the repair bill.

AMANA ARB 220 ZCW ice build up in freezer compartment

Here's an inexpensive, though inconvenient, way to determine if the problem is with the self-defrosting system. Remove all of the perishable food from the refrigerator and freezer, turn the thermostat in the refrigerator to Off, and leave the doors open for 24 to 48 hours. (Be sure to have several towels ready in case the melting frost and ice causes the drip pan to overflow). This allows the refrigerator to defrost "manually." When the frost and ice build-up has completely melted away, turn the thermostat back to a normal setting. If the refrigerator then cools properly, it indicates a problem with one of three components in the self-defrosting system: The refrigerator is supposed to self-defrost approximately four times in every 24 hour period. If one of the components in the self-defrosting system fails, the refrigerator continues to try to cool. Eventually, though, so much frost builds up on the evaporator coils that the circulating fan can't draw air over the coils. There may still be a small amount of cooling because the coils are icy, but with no air flow over the coils, cooling in the refrigerator compartment is quite limited. The defrost timer The defrost thermostat (also called the bi-metal switch)

I have a Liebherr No-Frost Premium, with the freezer at the bottom of the unit three years old. I've had a number of problems with the box. The immediate pressing one is that the thermostat seems...

For that problem, the electronics control board and the thermostat must be check. Since the display doesn't follow the control button and it adjust itself automatically without controlling, it's already sure that the control is the problem. Check first thermostat then electronics control board. Be sure that the door are tightly close.
It is a pleasure to advice you.

The display unit keeps flashing on the fridge side on my samsung RS20CCVS.

When the temperature indicator flashes indicate then the temperature has ridge a level lower the the set temperature for example if you set you fridge side to 36 degree and and has fail to stop from getting cooler and has ridge 34 degree. some times those friges fail to calibrate them self tray by unplugging you dirge for 30 seconds and replug it then the board will auto calibrate for the next 24 hours If this problem comes back again that meas than your defrost element on the fridge side is bad.
