Question about Keurig Platinum B70 Coffee Maker

1 Answer

My Keurig B60 leaks water only when brewing and puddles in the back below the metal cover plate. I take out the water reservoir, after brewing and plastic base that it sits in is dry. However water drip out of the metal cover on the bottom of the unit. Please advise on what to look for after I remove the metal cover.

SOURCE: keurig maker dispenses too little water when brewing

I found this solution on another post. Unfold a small metal paper clip and insert through the lower piercing needle of the cup holder to **** out any debris in the needle.Even a small piece of coffee or debris can slow the water flow through the cup.

SOURCE: How to disassemble a Keurig B60?

Not sure why you want to get the top off first :(

start with the black wrap around shroud first...
Take the metal bottom plate off first... then you can see the way the wrap around plastic shroud slides off... however... you have a hose and water tank plate base assembly in the way... need to cut the ty-raps off the hoses... they are smaller then 4" Panduit ty-raps... so go get a few... only 2 or three.
Once toy get that water base unit away... watch those leds...
you start from the right side of the shroud and pull the shroud down... exposing a phillips screw on top... get needle nose pliers to start a bite in it.
the shroud has self locking plastic teeth molded on the shroud and the silver top...once snalled onto place, they are a bytch to get off.

I wrote instructions to do this on another question... work carefully... use a stiff pointed piece of plastic shaped like a chisel... metal will chew up the plastic cover and shroud.
there are 2 screws... one on the left one... one on the right... start right side first

SOURCE: Keurig B60 is real slow , displays brewing for 30 sec.

mcdevito75 here, It may need to be cleaned, water used to brew coffee leaves deposits in the brewing holes and must be cleaned every once in a while. Refer to the owners manual on cleaning the coffee maker.

You have to remove teh 5 screws from the bottom plate on the unit and they there is a small translucent corrugated hose fastened with a small ty-rep. Remove this hose and simply drain the stainless tank to the sink and replace the hose over the barb, slide the ty-rap back in place and it is EMPTY. Takes ten minutes start to finish. Phillips screwdriver and needlenose pliers are all that is needed.

Keurig special edition b60 prime problem?

You may want to try this.

Simply trying to clear the lines often will work. And as you will see from the many comments below, by far the most reliable way to get your Keurig brewer working again is the "Slap and Burp" method.

Here is how you do it.

First, unplug the brewer and remove both the water reservoir and drip tray.

Next, hold the brewer upside down over the sink and slap the base a few times. And I mean really slap it.

Now put everything back together and try brewing again. Most of the time this works with a couple of good slaps. If not, try it again.

And don't worry, there are no laws against giving your Keurig a good slapping!

Good luck!

Keurig b60 won't dispense water

Your b60 may need to be descaled. There might be scale built up on the water level probes in you machine. I have listed the directions below:

Brewer De-Scaling Instructions
Brewer Model: Elite B40 ' Classic B44
Special Edition B60 ' Platinum B70
To begin, you will need the following:
• 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar
• Large ceramic mug (do not use a paper cup)
• Access to an empty sink
PREPARE
Step 1:
Empty the water in the Water Reservoir.
Step 2:
Disable "Auto Off features."
FILL AND CLEAN
Step 1:
Pour approximately 48 ounces of the vinegar
into the Water Reservoir.
Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and run a brew cycle.

DO NOT USE A K-CUP
, just press the BREW Button. Pour the contents of

the large mug into the sink.
Step 3:
Repeat the brew process without a K-Cup until"ADD WATER"

is indicated.
Step 4:
Now let the Brewer stand for at least 4 hours while still on.

Step 5:
Discard any residual vinegar and rinse the
Water Reservoir thoroughly.
RINSE
Step 1:
Ensure the Water Reservoir is filled with fresh water.

Step 2:
Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and
water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the
large mug into the sink.
Step 3:

I lost my manual. How do I de-scale? Does this not allow you to brew a cup until it has been de-scaled?

Keurig b60 wont brew

The water reservoir tank probably isn't seated properly. Try wiggling the tank a bit and if that doesn't do the trick, completely remove the water reservoir and then replace it. Once it's seated properly, it should start drawing water and brew as designed. This seems to be a design flaw with this particular model, so periodic adjusting of the water reservoir may be necessary to ensure it is seated properly if your problem persists. Hope that helps! Best of luck...

This morning my Keurig sounds like it begins to pull water then stops. I tried to cut it off then back on. Still didn't work.Removed water from reservoir and K-cup and added pure vinegar. Ran machine several times without filter or Kcup by pressing cup selector several times. You must open K-cup holder and close each time. I had to do this about a dozen times before the water began to draw again. Flushed system by filling water reservoir with fresh water, and brewed just plain water until vinegar was gone.Works like brand new.
