SOURCE: how do i get a my dish remote 1.5ndb to link to my 625 reciever

Actually a dish 2.0 remote will work with the 625. Once you get it just go into system info screen and hit the record button on your remote. This will address the remote for that receiver.

I have a satalite dish dvr #625 it wont record rewind fast forward or pause. And i cant watch recordings. I have tryed everything and nothing works.please help..

Sounds like a problem with your box. you need to either have dish come replace it or u dont have the right reciever that will allow you to do that. If it is the right reciever and its still not working the dish company should be able to help trouble shoot the problem or send someone out to fix it. sounds to me like a faulty box that needs trashed.

How do i get a my dish remote 1.5ndb to link to my 625 reciever

iamknoman,

If you lost a remote for the 625, we would have to send out a replacement. Our 1.5 remotes are dedicated remotes that come addressed to one receiver. They do not have the ability to be reprogrammed to another receiver.

I hope this has been resolved for you. If not, I can look into sending out a replacement, but it would require the account info. You can send me an email at thomas.faust@dish.com with the phone # and I can check this out further!

What would cause reciever 2 to have a much lower singal than reciever 1 on a 625 reciever foe dishnetwork

Hello there! Becki Barned with Dish Network customer service here! There are a few reasons for this. There could be a problem with the receiver itself, cabling, or a component on the dish itself. Normally, it is due to a corrupted cable, or the receiver not being able to pull in signal. Unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds in most cases, will help. Blog back if any other troubles!

I have a dvr 625 every so often while watching tv1 or tv2 it freezes up and all i can do is go over to the box and push and hold the power button to reset the box to get it working again. dish is trying to...

Press menu-6-1-3. Now select details and scroll all the way to the end. If any value has a number greater than a single digit the box will definitely need to be replaced. I can not explain why the issue would have started after the smart card was installed other than coincidence.
I hope this assists you and thanks for using Fix Ya.

I hav a duodvr 625 but its olny working for one tv how do i get it to show up on the other tv?

I will assume it was installed to two rooms when installed otherwise it will need to be wired to the second TV.

If it was indeed installed to two TVs at the first tv location with the TV1 remote press MENU-6-1-5. You should now be at the modulator set up screen. Note what channel TV2 is modulated to generally 60 air or 73 cable.

Now go to the TV2 location and run a cannel search. If it does not find the channel go back to tv 1 and change the TV channel to the opposite setting of air or cable based on what it was previously set to and try the channel scan at TV2 again.

If it still does not pick it up then most likely it is not wired for that room.
If the receiver was installed to one location Dish will need to wire the second location for you in order to achieve the desired outcome.

Thanks for using Fix Ya and being a valued Dish Network customer.

How to attach an external hdd

Dish officially does not offer that service on the 625. It is only available on their Vip HD series receivers. You have to pay Dish a one time fee of 39.99 to have epansion port activated. Once that is done you just use a USB patch cable to connect the two devices.

DISH Network DVR-625 DTV - AUDIO PROBLEM ON LOCAL CHANNELS ONLY

I am probably stating the obvious here but here it goes:
If the 625 is connected to the tv using coax directly try using the RCA jacks to connect directly to the tv. If the 625 goes through a peripheral first, eliminate that peripheral and conect directly to the tv.If the problem exists with different media connections still at the same tv you can remove the coax off of the TV1(3-4) output on the back of the 625 and attach it to the TV2(CH60-73) output. You would then change your tv channel from 3 or 4 to ch 60air or 73 cable(which will be the same channel that TV2 is normally on in the remote room without the 625) Once you are on the right channel you will be able to tune TV1 to your local channel using the TV2 remote. If the audio is good here it eliminates the TV coax input on the TV1 and the coax cable connecting it as the source of the problem. You will have already eliminated any other inputs on the same tv as being faulty by using the other connecting media leaving you with the internal components of the receiver as being faulty. In this situation I know of no recourse except the obvious.
