Question about KitchenAid KUDS24SE Built-in Dishwasher

No lights on panel and will not start

Ran the dishwasher through one cycle and the next time I was ready to use it which was only a few hours later it would not turn on. There are no lights. We checked the breaker, the plug, changed plugs and it is still not working. There is a bit of water standing in the bottom of it but this has happened a couple of times before. We did not buy this product. We have had it since we moved into our home in 2002. Is this probably something easy to fix or does this indicate major repair and is it worth it to repair instead of replace it?? Any help at all would be appreciated! We have a family of 7 and a few days without a dishwasher is a nightmare. We run it usually 2 times a day. THANKS!!!

Frigidaire FDB520RHB Dishwashers : We bought this dishwasher about 3 months ago. Today I ran the washer before I left to do errands and when I returned, I believe the washer had finished its cycle. But...

Try to run the dishwasher on a short cycle like rinse and see if it finishes the cycle.

It is likely the heater or hot water temperature is not reaching the desired level and this could cause the extended wash cycle. Feel water temperature inside dishwasher after some time. If cold then it is the heater not working. Perhaps try without Heat Dry Cycle. That will also extend the cycle if heater is not working well.

see cycle diagrams in the page 2 of this sheet. Gives you and idea how Heater Delay affects cycle times.

Be very careful, it sounds like an electrical failure, were the machine has cut out to protect you and itself. You need an expert there and quickly. Water and electric are a bad mix and more house fires are caused by washers than most other appliances.

Indesit Dishwasher not washing properly or draining

Could be a few problems here. The main one may be the timer. Generally the timer will tell each part to do what it needs to do and when, if it is not closing relays then you get a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. I would also check the pump to make sure it is operating properly. But I would venture a guess at the timer being the main problem.

Maytag - MDB6769AWB touch panel blinking

Time to call the business that sold the machine for warranty service or immediate replacement! The threat of losing a sale will usually get them off the dime in short order. Hope this gets the problem(s) resolved in a hurry. Good luck!

Light flashing

reset the dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal let it run through that cycle then through a normal cycle got the error blink again. Reset dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal, ran the test cycle, next ran a normal cycle but turned off the heated dry. This allowed the dishwasher to run through a complete cycle did not get the error blink and confirmed that the heating element was out.

Make sure that you do not open the door during the wash cycle. Wait until all the cycles are complete before opening the door. Especially don't open the door during the drying cycle.
