First time using this site. I found your solution helpful, but now I need to know if a PNY Attache 2GB is a removeable disk.Copied manual but cannot find it again! Guess I'll never get to the GURU level helping others, though.

I had photos put on a disk, now I need to delete them so that I can use the flash drive for other items---oh, is this device able to Multitask?

    Thank you,.

You should see the storage as a device through my computer. Once you double click on it you should see all your pictures and should be able to erase them. Make sure it is a removeable device that you are looking at.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I get a "Card locked"

Move the tiny slide switch on the side of the card to its other position. Also, you should only be deleting pictures from your card using your camera's delete or format functions. Deleting from the computer may eventually corrupt your card. For more info, see this link.

Memory full ... when there are no pictures

Try refomatting the memory card. Basically this removes all data from the card and makes sure it is empty.

It sounds like you have copied the pictures to your computer but NOT told the camera to delete from the camera card as you do so.

Check your camera manuals for details.

Connect you camera to the computer using the USB cable. It will be shown as a removable drive(If the autorun is enabled windows should list the option to transfer pictures.Choose this option if it does so). Open the drive and and transfer the pictures to your computer.

Hope this helps,
Sai.

Camera reads, computer doesn't

That is odd. Try the recovery software that comes with the sandisk cards and see if you are able to get them after that.
Do you format your cards each time in the camera before shooting?

Internal memory is full, how do I transfer these pictures to a SD

Plug your camera into your computer. You will have two removable drives. One for the internal memory of your camera as well as the memory card. If you press My computer in Windows you will see two removeable drive devices.

Can't initialize SanDisk Ultra II for S7000

try formatting it in the computer, then initializing it in the camera.
It's possible that the camera can only handle memory up to 1Gb. Try a 1g CF card.
