SOURCE: beeps several times and stops sewing.

I had the same problem. Through trial and error, I found the problem was with the thread tension. Usually the thread became wrapped around the spool holder as it was coming off the spool. As you continue to press the pedal, tension is created. When you release the pedal, some slack develops in the threading process and you are able to sew a few more stitches before the beeping starts again. If the thread is caught on the spool holder, simple re-thread the machine. That generally works for me. Also you can try to push to spool holder in as close as possible to the spool pin to alleviate any gaps. If the beeping continues to happen, place you thread in a cup behind the machine and thread as usual. You can also purchase an inexpensive thread holder. I made one out of a wood block and other odds and ends found around the house. Good Luck!

Hold onto the thread that is coming out of the needle, and pull on the top of it (by the spool of thread) to tighten it. Then it should work fint.

Look for the buttonhole lever, just behind the needle threader lever. Pull it down and push it up again. The machine gives a warning message if you want to sew and the button hole lever is down. Good luck!

Straight stiches great. select any other stitch and it stitches about an inch and then stops

Test: With straight stitch and needle on left side sew.
With straight stitch and needle on right side sew.
Does one of the two sew and the other not sew?
The reason is the timing of the needle and bobbin are not set right. In other words it is in need of timing from a repairman.

Elna SU buttonhole- I can't remember the order to set the dials for the automatic button hole function. Anyone know? Thanks

sure, put on the buttonhole foot after putting a button into it and using the screw knob to set the length you want.
Turn stitch length knob and stitch width knobs to zero, (always set them to zero first to avoid wear on the stitch selection mechanisim) then turn the left stitch selector knob to the blue button hole symbol. Now turn middle knob stitch width, to the blue buttonhole symbol. Now turn right knob stitch length to blue 1, sew down the first side of your buttonhole until foot slide in the buttonhole foot reaches end stop. raise needle and turn stitch length to blue 2, and sew three bar tacks across buttonhole. Again, raise needle and then turn stitch length to blue 3 and sew back down otherside of buttonhole until you reach the end stop. Needle up, turn length know to blue 4 and sew three bartacks to end. there is a last blue symbol dot on stitch length knob, this will sew a stitch in place to tie off the ends. Raise pressure foot, remove your work and draw top threads to underside with a needle, and tie off or use a dot of fray stop. Done! if you don't have a manual you could email me and I'll send you a copy of mine, tallygirl98 at yahoo dot com.

My Juki MO-655 serger will sew a few inches then the needle thread becomes disengaged in the stitch process. The machine will sew a few inches more then stops making stitches. I have cleaned the thre

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly. Make sure you are using serger thread that isn't old. Make sure you are undoing all the threads when it breaks and thread it from the beginning.

Make sure you have the right needles in their respective places. My Juki MO has two different size needles.

Lever is stuck in reverse

If the stitch length bar, which is located on the right side of the machine, is in the up position move it down to where the numbers are. Those numbers are referring to how many stitches the machine will sew in an inch. Therefore, if you put it on 10, your machine will sew 10 stitches per inch. It being up will cause your machine to go in reverse.

I have a Kenmore 19606, I have never own a machine that does embroidery stitches, the pattern of the stitches shows on the wrong side of the fabric not the right side. Is this suppose to happen? If not how...

Not sure if you are doing embroidery w /a hoop and all, which I don't do but I have lots of decorative stiches . Ytp lacing some tear away interfacing below the fabric you are going to sew. Most stitches come out top to bottom. Say I have an alligator option. Image will be about 1 1/2 inch , Try it on a piece of scrap fabric to start. I used muslin and the tear away bnacking to stabilize the design on lettering and patters. Also use good thread. I like Guttermans. Coat and Clark / Sulky are very fine and snag and tear easily. Good luck. Keep trying. The design you sew will show on both sides , so if you do not want that you will have to add another level of fabric to the backside after completing the design. Hope that makes sense.

This error indictaes that the upper thread is broken. If it is not the sensor is telling the computer the thread is broken. Try tightening the upper thread tension some and rethread the upper thread.
