No tv channels with Philips 42FD9935/17

If you are using a Cable Box, then select the Cable Box option in the TV. If you have connected the Antenna directly to the TV, then select the Antenna option in the TV under Menu options. Try performing the Auto program.......If using a Cable Box, then no need to perform the Auto program. If the issue persists, try resetting the TV to the factory settings and check if it helps.

Hi, we have a Philips Plasma TV with receiver box, serial # FTR9965/17S. Recently we hooked a sound bar up to it. It still worked fine for a day, but the next day, the screen was black, the little light on...

If you have the owner's guide at home, shoot me the model number from the set itself; it should be shown on the guide.
If I can determine the nature of the 'receiver box,' perhaps I can suggest a work-around. I have a feeling that is a converter of some kind and it may be of a type not brand dependent; i.e., replaceable with another brand.
I'd really like to help you and gain some insight into this problem too.

I can't see my tv

You likely need to select channel three or four on the TV itself if you have any kind of box between you and the signal source (cable, antenna, satellite). Magnavox is a name owned previously by Philips and now by Funai. They may not have all the info from Magnavox and Philips but you could check their website to see if they have the instruction manual for download.
Look under 'Support'

Looking for where to find this part

You need to fix power supply module (replace electrolitic capacitor on PCB) in your plasma. It's very frequently failure for this device.

Philips FTR 9964 Receiver Problem

The problem is in your cable connection on the back of your monitor or Box. I had the same problem and solved it by reattaching the VGA cable that was loose.
