Brushes sparking too much

Homelite Chainsaws have no brushes that I know of. Maybe it is not that. It could be a short in the magneto coil wire that goes to the switch.
Check to see if anything is shorting out under the flywheel cover. All the way back to the switch.

Old dimmer switch has 2 black wires, one is attached to another black wire & the other is attached to a white wire. The new dimmer switch, Pass & Seymour legrand R600-PIV has 3 wires, 2 black...

If the directions didn't give you specific connections, look at the color of the stranded wire inside the insulation. If one is gold and one silver, the gold goes to the black incoming, the silver to the white incoming, and the green is ALWAYS ground.
If both of your stranded wires from the dimmer switch are silver, either can be connected to the black and white. Green is always ground.

I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks for visiting

Hello - I have just installed two Lutron eco-dimmers in my kitchen. They work expect that the on/off switch is reversed and yet the dimmer toggler is working correctly: slid up it's on and slide down and it...

Double check the model number - is it a TG-600PH or a TG-603PH?

If its a TG-603PH, and this is part of a 3-way circuit (there's another light switch that turns the lights those same lights on & off), then this is normal. If you flick the other light switch, you'll then see that the dimmer works like it should. This has always been the case with 3-way switches, up doesn't necessarily mean "on" and vice-versa.

If its a TG-603PH, and this is part of a single-pole circuit (this is the only light switch for those lights), then the product is miswired, and upside-down. To fix the miswire, look at the screws on the back of the unit (ignore the green grounding screw for the time being), two of those screws are made of the same material (same color), and only one of them should have an electrical wire going to it. Take that wire out and put it on the other screw of the same color. That fixes the miswire. Then when you re-install the device, flip it upside-down from what it was before.

If its DEFINATELY a single-pole, TG-600PH, then call their tech support center at 1-800-523-9466 - because that makes absolutely no sense.

Good luck!

Remove bolt from 513 s remington rifle action

Point muzzle in safe direction.
Make sure it is unloaded chamber and clip !
Push safety off ( forward )
Pull trigger and pull bolt out at the same time.
Or sell to me ( have FFL ) just sold a 513 T that was to heavy for a old man.

Continuous ground wire problem

What you do is to put a pigtail on each switch and use a wire nut/Scothlock to join to all the ground wires in the box.

Do not know how to start my chain saw

First the chain should be tightened properly before starting. When you pick up on the chain midway of the bar it should pull away from the bar about 1/4". The proper mix of oil & gas in the fuel tank & Oil for the chain in the oiler tankk is needed, If so, locate the on/off switch & turn it to "on". Pull the choke lever out. Depress the throttle trigger & engage the latch for the trigger. With the saw held firmly in place, pull the starter rope until the engine hits. Then move the choke to half & pull till it cranks. move the choke lever to the run position.
