Hi Stewart,

Forgive me if you've already tried this..
If you think it has been charging long enough, then try holding down the power button for about 10 seconds to fully power it 'down' then hit it again. It might have went into a suspended state or hibernate mode.
Worth a try..

Hope this helps

Hi. When I turn on my Acer aspire t180, only the red button light up, but the green button does not light up . And then nothing happens. Please help me as im having the same problem for months already.

Im guessing the PC starts up flashes the lights turns off and repeats?

If so the hard drive boot sector is gone or damaged. Try to boot from the Windows disk.

When j turn on my acer aspire which is only ntwo weeks old it dosent actually turn on there is nothing on the monitor it is just black and it makes a funny sound and then you cant switch it off. please...

2 weeks old? Time to bank in on that warranty. If you can hear weird sounds, there's some hardware failure and it should be covered under a warranty.

ACER ASPIRE T180

1. Remove the memory and put it back in again.
2. Remove the video card and put it back in again.

Check those two items first. Usually a beeping at the beginning would indicate either a memory or video problem, depending on the type of beep and computer.

Thanks and please don't forget to rate as fixya. Thank you.
