No volume from my dvd

SOURCE: Can a dvd have a hidden program that can ruin your dvd player. Is i fixable?

I believe the spindle motor was fried. Pitched it in the garbage and bought a new one.

America makes it hard for any of us to view CD's from other regions. I've had to pay out to have videos and DVD's converted. Other options are playing them on your computer dvd with software that will play different regions. Go to New Zealand or Australia and buy yourself a player that will play other regions. Other countries cater for international viewing.

check for audio settings

I changed the audio settings to TV MODE.
and now the volume is perfect

SOURCE: new lcd tv and dvd player is playing movies in black & white

1. Verify connections are color coded.

2. If they are correct, take out movie, press Play/Stop at same time on the front of the unit (not remote) to reset any settings that may have been changed.
