Either one of the drivers (woofer, midrange, tweeter) has a short in it, or there's short in the crossover network. The drivers all need to be taken out and the DCR checked; they should be between 3.5 to 4 ohms.. if those all check OK there is a shorted part in the crossover network.

I need missing(older) infinity subwoofer fuse cap.

Maybe craigs list. You could take your good one down to an electrical wholesaler and they might be able to match it from a catalog.
I used Digikey's catalog in search of a Logitech speaker fuse holder cap. Had to buy the whole thing, not just the cap.

Infinity modulus problems with car radio for 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. No sound

If the radio works the two fuses for it must be OK. 15A fuse 23 is the source of amplifier power. The amplifier is probably tucked away near the radio

My cars battery died, and when i turned the car on finally the head unit and my infinity bass link didnt turn on

Check the fuse in your car's fuse panel. If it is burnt then change. If it is still good, check the fuse on the head unit and amp.

Dryer runs but does not heat.

Hi.

Check the thermal fuse. The fuse can be tested reading impedance. You can replace the fuse straight away, or you can first test it using a multimeter set on Ohms. If the multimeter reads Ohms infinity when you touch the fuse contacts with the probes, then the fuse is gone. A good fuse will read zero or low impedance.

If the fuse is OK, then you can have a defective thermostat.
In the same way you test the thermostats, thermistors or cutoff located in the heating group, near to fan and element. If they are OK, then they will be conductive at room temperature and will read zero Ohms. If they are bad they read open (infinity). You need to disconnect the part's contact to test properly.

The rest depends if the dryer is electric or gas.

On electric dryers you test the heating element. The heating element is tested in the same way. Set multimeter on impedance, disconnect element, and touch contacts with multimeter probes. If it reads open, then element is gone. A good element reading depends on the specific model. Most washer-dryers, including Whirlpool and Maytag read between 10 and 20 Ohms.

With gas appliances you need to test the ignitor, then coils and then the flame sensor. The ignitor is the most common cause for the problem. Heating coils problems are also common. The flame sensor does not fail very often.

Regards.

I have an Infinity Modulus system. My MSW-1 subwoofer will not power up. I have checked the fuse, power cord and power switch, all are good. It seems like a farly common issue but I haven't found a fix....

Mmmhh! An i tought i was the only one with this same problem. My speaker sometimes i could get it to work, sometimes i would disconnect the power cord from the wall, few minutes later i will reconnect and it work.
Lately i can't get it to power up.
Hopefully some one knows about this problem.

Infinity 2 overture speakers- 1 wasn't working so I replaced the fuse. Now it works but doesn't have the same sound output as the other. Any suggestions?

Verify that the bass levels are set the same on each speaker. If they are and the problem occurs on all program material, you most likely have a bad driver or amplifier in the speaker. One other thing to verify is that the balance or output levels of the left and right main speaker outputs are set equally on the receiver.

Good Luck,

INFINITY AMP PROTECTION LIGHT FLASHING FOR 5 SECONDS

I have an Infinity amp as well, and I was having the same issue for a time. The amp is protecting itself from some sort of overload. It could be the Ohms load on the sub, but I would guess not. Make sure your low pass filter is set to LP and not HP or Flat. Then check the RMS on your subs and match that to the Amp RMS. Once I did all that I found that everything worked fine, for a time. It started doing this again, and I checked the fuse and it was blown badly. It seems that the fuse setup on some of these Infinity amps is not as good as one would hope, because the charge was bridging the gap and frying out my fuses. It was like a spark would jump from one side of the fuse to the other without travelling the fuse itself, and this was causing my protect issues. I pulled the fuse, got a new one of the same rating, but I placed the fuse in with a little piece of rubber in between the 2 contacts, and then connected to the fuse block. I have not had problems since.
