Question about Computers & Internet
Am not very clued into computers but the guy who has been installing Vista onto my Dell laptop can't get it to recognise and print onto my hp Deskjet 5150 printer. This particular model does not come up in this list offers by my Dell but he's been using the closest to it hp Deskjet 5100.
This printer is (as per HP specs) only connected via USB or Wlan Print server.
Check connection using USB cable and be sure Printer driver are correctly working.
Check on Router your Print server IP address (Lock it out of DHCP)
Put both PRT and PC on same home network (normally HOME or MSWORK)
Put Printer server IP address into your printer properties/port tab/ IP.
OR check if you see your printer server in your Windows network/home network

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
