Intermittent Connectivity:
NOTE: Before following the steps in this article, check if your wireless computers have stable connection when connected to other wireless networks (hotspots).
This article assumes that all wireless computers are experiencing intermittent wireless connection with the router.
Frequent wireless disconnection can be caused by different factors such as:

  1. Wireless interference within the network.
  2. Wireless settings of the router are still set to default.
  3. Firmware is corrupted.
Reducing Wireless Interference
If you are experiencing frequent disconnection from the wireless network, it helps if you check the following factors, all of which can greatly affect your wireless signals:
your cordless telephone system (or even your neighbors’), or other nearby equipment. Try to change your router’s channel to 1 or 11 (the default channel is 6) and restart the wireless computers.
Physical obstructions: Your router or wireless computers may be losing connectivity because of physical obstacles such as walls and floors. Try to move the equipment to different locations to find a better link.

  • Placement of the router:
  • Manufacturers suggests that you place your router as high off the ground as possible. When placing the router in a high location, leave a distance of two feet between the router antenna tips, ceiling, and wall. If your signal passes through multiple floors, place the router on the upper-most floor, and high up in the room.
  • Surroundings: Keep the router away from large metal objects, bodies of water (fish tanks, bathrooms), and any electrical equipment including television sets, microwaves, radios, etc.
Customizing Wireless Settings of the Router
Having default wireless settings on the router may cause conflict with other Linksys routers within your network range. Manufacturers suggest changing the SSID (network name) and the Wireless Channel of your router. Also, if it is possible, enable the Wireless Security of your router.
NOTE: If the wireless connection remains unstable after performing the steps above, upgrade the router’s firmware.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Please check the following

1) secure cable between modem and router. it must not be loose.
2) secure cable between modem and phone jack. it must not be loose.
3) modem and router must not be near to any electromagnetic devices such as halogen lamps, computer speakers
4) cables must not be intersecting to electrical cable which sometimes cause static signals that interrupts internet signals going to modem or router

Connection interrupts every game

You might need to either, reset your modem, or get a higher internet speed. It can depend on the host also and how good there connection is, i would try to play multiple matches, if problem still persists, i would check and see how fast your internet speed is. I recommend having the fastest speed available by your provider to be safe. Speeds around 6-9 mbps are fine. But also reset your modem you might need to revamp it! And make sure your not doing anything on the computer, it can interrupt it also, especially if your downloading something.

Wireless connection interruption

This will either be a driver glitch or a problem with the router or your internet provider. Start by uninstalling the wireless drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers automatically. If this doesn't fix it, then you might want to call your internet provider and have them check out your router and connection.

Slow internet connection when connected through router

Would you consider an environmental or systemic reason.

Environmental -- there are many more wireless devicess out there including a class that broadcast on two wireless channels simultaneously. You may be having contention for the radio bandwidth not just from other routers but devices like wireless phones. Consider changing you channel from the probable default of 6 to 1 or 11. If the first change does not work try the second. (also keep your wireless router/access point away from the cell phone base station.)

Systemic -- this is unlikely in your case unless you are getting a strange symptom. There is a belief that networks with hidden SSIDs and WEP or WPA encryption experience interruptions someof considerable duration of service manifesting as disconnections registered by the computer's wireless adapter. Unhiding the SSID has cured these systems.

I hope this helps.
