SOURCE: how do i resolve the error: use genuine battery. power off

I have an En-V 2, same thing happened.

What worked for me was dabbing a Q-tip in nail polish remove and just rubbing it along the 4 contacts on the battery as well as the 4 contacts inside the phone.

This is an old trick that use to work for the Nintendo game system cartridges when the game would **** out.

Give it a shot! I just saved $50 and a trip to the Verizon store!!!!!! (We know how that can be...hehehe)

GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: battery charger

I'm not sure what the problem is with your phone, but this happened to me with another Motorola phone and it turned out to be a battery problem. You can try another charger, which might work for some time before you get the same result, but I believe you will need to replace the battery. You can try calling Motorola and checking to see if they will give you a discount on another battery. I've had several Motorola phones give me this same message and most of the time it was only infrequently and resetting the phone and reinserting the charger worked, but if it persists, try the battery.

The charge dock on tablet broke so we can not charge tablet can it be fixed? We just got it this October.

Juello. Did some research on your tablet at Amazon, (http://amzn.to/1xWx6S5) and see that they also have an AC charger (AC charger adapter with a 3.5mm power jack and delivering 5VDC 2A). Available for $5: iRulu Black AC Home Wall Adapter Cable Charger for Tablet PC 5V 2000mAh or a there's a nice replacement KB and cover: iRulu New Portable 10 1 10 5 Android Tablet USB Keyboard Case Black . I would guess the connector snapped off inside the tablet, so you will have to remove it with some tweezers. If the pin for the AC adapter broke off inside the tablet, that's a problem, but most everything can be charged from the USB port too see this website:

Finepix jx400 won't charge

Did you charge the battery on the BC-45C charger? hat should be the best way to charge your battery. It should be fully charged within 2 hours. To make sure your battery still has its capacity you can measure the output voltage. On the battery is printed 3,7 Volt. With a multi meter you should measure at least 3,9 Volt, because the multi meter does not ask any significant current. if it is under the 3,7 volt you can be sure the battery does not have enough capacity to let your camera work correct. The charger will deliver abut 4,2 Volt.

Can not charge

To locate the problem, it's important you own a multimeter, which can read DC Voltage and resistance.

If you do own one, then you can perform the following :

1. Battery
Set your multimeter in Voltage (DC)-mode.
Remove the battery from your phone and see what Voltage it's rated. (might be something like 3.7V, 4.2V or even higher.

The phone contains a minimum of 2 (small) pins, which is touching the battery, when it was inserted. The battery will have 2 or move gold-alike pads.Try to measure the battery at these pads to see the Voltage. If there are more pins, don't worry, just try to measure between all pins.
If the readout at your multimeter is roughly 0.5 Volts below the rated Voltage, the battery should be replaced.

Example :
Battery rated 3.7 V. Readout multimeter : 3.2 V
Battery should be replaced.

2. Adapter / charger
Insert the adapter in a wall-outlet (110 / 240 V AC)
The adapter, contains a plug, which inserts into your mobile phone. At this plug, you need the Voltage. The readout at your multimeter should be a higher than the Voltage-rating at he battery. If not, your adapter / charger is damaged.

3. Onboard connection
Set your multimeter in Resistance-mode, sometimes also shown as the Ohm-sign.
When charging your phone, your adapter is connected to your phone, redirected to the battery. Now it's time to check if there's a good connection between the phone-inlet and the battery-pins inside your phone. The inlet has in the center a metal pin. Try to connect your multimeter to this pin, and one of the battery-pins inside your phone. If there's no connection, to any of these pins, you'll get no readout. This might mean, the phone-inletconnector is not well connected to the board(*) of your phone.
(*) The green print, with all tiny electronic components.

The source of this damage might be :

A) While charging, the phone dropped on the floor.

B) Non-official adapter / charger
Maybe a higher rated current than allowed. A battery may be charged 1 / 10th of the specificated current. So, if the battery shows 1600 mAh, the batttery can be safely charged at a current of 160 mAh. If you use a 2A (= 2000 mA) charger, you can charge the battery, but results in a shorter lifetime of the battery.
Sometimes, even polarity might be an issue (reversed) or the non-official charger is supplying AC-Voltage instead of DC-Voltage.

C) Damaged onboard controller
Some phones contain a kind of controller-IC to control the charging proces. If the charger was supplying a too high Voltage or current (Ampere), it might end up in a fried controller-IC.
I such case you might have heard a "plop" when inserting this charger into your phone, or noticed smoke or a distinctive smell (of burned components)

Any repair for type A, B or C-damage, requires special skills and tools. If you lack any of these 2, go for a repair-shop or buy a new mobile phone.

How I can charge my batteries on my Vivitar Vivicam 8025 if I don't have a battery charger?

Yes, you may charge the battery through the USB connection. Bear in mind that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge batteries. You may also use an AC-powered USB charger, such as used for some cell phones.

Even with AC adapter plugged in player seems to only run off the battery? Why does the battery need to be fully charged if I have the adapter plugged in?

Because the power supply, is just a "Trickle Charger" for the battery, and cannot, deliver enough current to run, the entire thing, alone, only from the wall unit. If however a higher current adapter could be used, no doubt you could use it just on that. You would need a switchmode type supply, something that has same plug, polarity, plug can be "Grafted" on to a new supply, this supply needs to provide the same Voltage as written on the PSU, but with a higher Current, Amps, draw rating, say 3 - 4 Amps. Then that would operate the unit alone. Without the battery. You are meant to use two batteries, one charge and one in use, and swap them out when needed to.

CHARGING FAULT

hi friend,
step 1
Make sure you have all of the accessories. Some phones need special adapters for charging. If you're having problems fitting the charger into your cigarette lighter socket, check with your cell phone company. You may need an adapter ring.
  • Step 2 Find the right battery. Certain phones can only be used with batteries from the same company. If you are using a counterfeit battery, be aware that you may not be able to charge it with your current set up.
  • Step 3 Read the manual. Something as simple as charging a battery may take specific instructions. For example, some cell batteries need to be charged immediately while others come fully charged.
  • Step 4 Use your charger. Most cell phone chargers are easy to use plugging right into your phone and home outlet or car electrical cigarette socket. Read your manual on specific steps needed for charging your phone.
  • Step 5 Try Cellboosts. These convenient devices are disposable battery packs that plug into your phone, charging it when the charger isn't accessible. Cellboosts usually last for an hour and are not compatible with all cell phones.
  • Step 6 Go solar. This innovation allows you to charge your phone wherever there is light. Just attach your cell to a portable adapter and let the light do the rest
  • hope this helps u

My phone only works when it's plugged into the charger

New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. You can charge the battery in two ways: • Charging the device’s battery by connecting the power adapter. • Connecting your device to a PC via the provided Mini USB cable. Note: Only the AC adapter and USB cable provided with your device should be used to charge the device. Charging is indicated by a solid amber light on the left LED indicator. As the battery is being charged while the device’s power is on, a charging icon will be shown on the title bar of the Today screen. After the battery has been fully charged, the left LED becomes green and a full battery icon appears on the Today screen’s title bar. Warning! Do not remove the battery from the device while you are charging it using the AC or car adapter. As a safety precaution, the battery stops charging when it overheats. When the low-battery warning appears, do the following: • Immediately save your current data. • Synchronize with your PC or connect the power adapter to charge the battery. • Turn off your device.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else.
