Question about KitchenAid KSB560 5 Speed Blender
When turned on motor makes a loud humming noise, red light blinks, blender works, with that loud humming noise, no green lights, shuts itself off after a minute or so or working when it gets hot.
Can you check it without the beaker on? It could be the blade seizing up, how free does it turn by hand?

Alternating blinking lights on a Kitchenaid blender indicate a bad circuit board which is unable to run the motor properly. Unplug the blender, take the jar off, and turn the spindle by hand. Then plug it back in. If it does not work properly, try a different outlet (perhaps not in the kitchen). If nothing works, the blender needs to be repaired.
