Question about AEG B2100-4 Electric Single Oven

Cookies burning I moved to Belgium but no one gave me lessons on how to use oven. It has settings that I am not used to. Does someone have a manual for an AEG Competence 5050 E-B single oven?

In your browser bar, type in serviceforce

Then click on serviceforce the a to z of service and spares from the list

Then follow instructions in search menu.

No manual. Hit the clean button and 15 minutes it caught on fire. Hit the cancel


It probably caught fire because to much crud was built up inside probably from not cleaning often enough. I assume there were not flames but just a lot of smoke, try again but watch it carefully. Some ovens are damaged by oven cleaner so I would get a manual first to be sure using that would be OM.

Oven burns in back and raw in front


That oven is very poorly rated and is prone to a lot of repairs. Most people advise to get something else. There is no common solution. I am sorry.

Top rack of cookies overcooked in a one year old Kenmore Elite 790 Electric built-in convection oven


It sounds as though the broiler element was on, causing the cookies to overcook. A bad oven temp setting switch would cause this. Set the oven to the same setting it was on for the cookie project, and check the element at the top of the oven. It should only heat when set to "broil".

When baking the oven doesn't bake evenly and always bakes quicker than the time on recipes. Items burn and the middle is raw. Can the oven be recalculated to work better?? John


Electric ovens are always different from gas ovens. You have to set the temperature on average 10-15 degrees lower and watch out 15 minutes earlier if you are baking cakes, 5 mins for cookies etc. Always bake in the centre of the oven. use a metal bowl of water in another tray which may help balance out the temperature

My baxter rotating tray oven is not baking cookies evenly. The cookies on the outside of the cookie sheet are over-done and the cookies in the middle of the cookie sheet are not done ??


Inside your oven you have an array of louvers or fins in the back left corner and the front right corner. Sometimes a tray will jam and knock one of the louvers out of adjustment. You may need to call a local authorized service provider to come and reset your louvers to the factory settings. In the meantime you can attempt to make small adjustments to see if you can rectify the issue.

Do not ever adjust the louvers in the back left corner of the oven.
For the trays in question, to direct more air towards the center of the cookie sheet slightly bend the louvers in the front right backwards towards the rear of the oven. ONLY MAKE SLIGHT ADJUSTMENTS!! If you bend the louvers too far you will end up burning the center of the cookie sheet and under cooking the edges.

Getting oven back on fahrenheit instead of celsius


Actually for the Whirlpool Accubake I just figured out, the bake button didn't work, but holding the broil button did the trick.
