Question about Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop Computer (ddcwda1_7) IntelPentium dual-core processor E2140 (1MB L2,1.60GH
Dell Inspiron 530 Intel core 2 duo 2.60 GHz 3 gb ram Windows Vista 32 bit 300 w psu I installed a nvidia geforce210 card, then installed the software, after restart I got the black screen. I tried again, this time loading the drivers from the nvidia site instead of using the disc. Now it just restarts over and over. Any ideas? Thanks
If anything, it's simply not compatible with your specs. "Vista 32 bit" alone kind of instilled some doubt in me. But who knows, try surfing around Nvidia's site here
You can try their Option 2 to automatically scan your rig and find a "suitable" driver for it, or try the links below on that site "Beta and Older Drivers" and see if any of the other versions work.

Please try the following
1) Go into the bios screen and then leave and see if the PC restarts. if it does it is the PSU that will need to be changed
2) If stopping one core stops the restarrting then unfortunatley its the porcessor that is faulty, it may just need a sprong clean i.e. remove and blow of any dust/particles etc or the processor itslef may need to be replaced
Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Testimonial: "very helpfull with my question"
SOURCE: i have dell inspiron but
Have you checked with Dell if your computer is upgradeable to windows 7 or not? It could be a hardware issue or a driver issue as well. Have you tried restarting the computer into the safe mode after the Windows 7 installation? If not then try that, because if its able to restart in that mode then its definitely a driver issue, else a hardware issue.
