Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a FEX831FS4 washer/dryer. The washing machine will wash and spin, but will not rinse and spin. Lid is locked.

My washing machine will complete the wash cycle and spin out, but will not progress over to rinse and spin. The lid is locked. I don't know what to do. Please help!

Think ur voltage is too low..usually frigidaire brand washer is 220v,..usually starting of spinning has a high ampere and it need a high volt electrical supply..try to check ur main breaker for washer only..ur lid lock will lock after 10secs when it spin fast...

The voltage is correct...actually just had this socket rewired and a new cord added. It will run thru wash cycle and spin out, but won't progress over to rinse. The lid is locked, and is working properly. Had that checked as well.

SOURCE: washing machine not spining

You may have a problem with the rotor position sensor. This sensor is situated on the motor windings and should really be replaced by a qualified tech.

SOURCE: My Fisher & Paykel GWL11

Hi,

Sounds like you probably have a bad diverter valve or diverter valve is clogged with debris or has failed. The diverter valve on a fisher paykel washer moves the water from the drain hose port to the motor.

To access the diverter valve tip the washer back and look in the back right corner. The valve is held into position with two small hose clamps. A wire connection snaps into position on the valves terminals.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Why does the lid lock light start flashing after the wash cycle and will not rinse or spin?

Lift lid, stick screwdriver into slot where lid latch-pin inserts and see if it goes into the cycle. If so, try adjusting position of latch.

No drainage, Sound in Spin/Rinse Cycle

You may have a broken pump belt, or belt may have fell off pump pulley. Another possibility is that you have a bad clog before the pump keeping water from draining. Your machine will agitate because this is a separate belt. Good Luck Friend.

Washer fills and does the wash cycle then stops. doesnt rinse or spin

Most likely your lid switch is broken on the washer. I(t acts as a safety mechanism to stop the tub during spin should you open the lid.)
The switch is located under the top of the washer on the right side of the lid opening. It is activated by a plastic strike on the same side of the lid.

Check the lid switch. Some units use a safety lock out. If it is not working then the unit will not drain or spin.
