Other times it will work normally.

    I replaced the power cord and the problem continued. In addition, the display on the oven has now gone blank. The clock read out has disappeared. If you start to set the temperature to bake something, the display shows the bake temperature. The timer has stopped working also and does not appear in the display.

    I have a kitchenaid wall oven-model number KEB11100BWH2. The oven will sometimes, but not always, turn itself off during a baking cycle after it reaches the desired temperature. It will remain off until someone hits bake and resets the temperature desired. The oven will then return to the desired temperature. Sometimes it will continue working normally and sometimes it will turn itself off again.

    In addition, the clock as disappeared from the display although the display continues to show that the oven is baking and what the current temperature is.

    I replaced the power cord and that had no effect.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

The cooking timer is defective and needs to be replaced.... it "thinks" the time is up to cook and shuts off the oven.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, postback the brand and model and how long the oven has been in service.

Offhand, you may start considering/trying:

  • door switch;
  • loose connection;
  • timer or electronic control board.
Check and perform preliminary visual or necessary inspection. Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Hi!

Thanks

    There is a problem with the clock which is on the back control panel of the oven, have gone bad due to short. You need to disassemble the oven to look at it and before doing that check out for door latch switch and door switch(might have gone bad due to short circuit).

Check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken,or if the door does not get close  completely  the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.you will hear a small click when the door get closed completely.

I have a whirlpool accubake duo, super capacity 465 and when I try to bake something the oven wont stay on...how do I get the oven to stay on

What do you mean that it wont stay on? Does it turn off and on during cooking? Does it just go off and wont come back on? The oven thermostat regulates the heat in the oven and the oven element and the oven indicator light will turn off and on during cooking. If it stayed on constantly on full oven element power everything would burn.

I have a bosch oven and the power in my house went out during a storm and when it came back my oven started beeping and has not stopped since... what do i do???

Hello- You may have done this already, to save your sanity, but I would turn off the breaker for a few minutes. It is most likely beeping to tell you there was a power failure (as if you didn't notice). Once it is back on you will need to reset the clock, it may not stop beeping until you do this or press cancel. If this does not remedy the beeping there may have been a power surge that caused damage to the control board in which case you should call a Tech out to have a look. Good luck, best regards.

My oven is saying "stop" . Previously to this is was showing F02 and the fan wouldn't turn off. We turned the main switch for oven off and back on and it now says "stop"

Previous fault F02 is indicating an overheat fault- service manual says to replace main electronic control board. However, switching off at wall has reset the clock- you need to set the time before the oven will work-press middle button until small triangle is next to clock icon, set time using temperature dial. Once clock has ben set, try using oven to see if F02 fault reappears- sometimes switching off at wall will clear fault. Good luck!!

I am getting a F4 code and beeping. The beeping

Replace the oven temperature sensor. It is located in the back wall of the oven. 4-6 inches long,up high on the right or left side depending on model. Most can be changed from inside the oven rather than through the back.

Oven W279U Serial No. 790191BD keeps beeping.

I turned off the power to the oven at the breaker box and left it off for several days. I restored the power this afternoon and there have been no more beeps. Spells and incantations may have played a part as well.
